What Students Say
Likes
- The cultural variety and numerous cultural events.
- Greenery : the campus is full of beautiful tress.
- Health centre and temple available within campus.
Dislikes
- The administration: they do not listen to the plea of students.
- The unavailability of course specific teachers and resources.
- The fee structure : they didn't provide most of the things our course promised and continue to take hefty amount each semester while other courses enjoy the same benefits with only paying 1% of our fee, it's really infuriating.
Course Curriculum Overview
Specific aspects : vocational studies are meant to provide practical knowledge and less theoretical , i mainly chose this to be able to learn about Industry earlier. Our curriculum did promise everything but when it comes to providing actual practical experience they just take our money and in return just put us with the BA/BSc students and we have to study alongside them without any special course and the theory was supposed to be 30% but in reality they only teach theory throughout the year and it covers 70% of our grade. Area of improvement: better internship opportunities, actually teaching the practical aspects written in the syllabus. Some of the bvoc courses do get internships but not computer application. Timimg of exams are alright not very frequent as per se, difficulty level is medium.

Campus Life
There are too many events in bhu which can be found on their official site. But the noteworthy festivals which are celebrated at each hostel and the whole campus are : saraswati puja, holi, Janmashtmi, navratri, christmas/malviya jayanti. Technical festivals only held in iit and science faculty. That can be found on iit bhu site. Books provided in the central Library include all course books except bvoc course so it's really meaningless for us to go. Most of the classrooms have smart boards not all of them. Sports are really motivated within our campus as we have 6-10 numerous ground dedicated to sports only there are many physical activity clubs, ncc and many more it provides great opportunity for athletes. Many student-run social groups and their impact are not that great but small impacts make big development.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are really old but they provide frequent maintenance for the hostels. We have to share a room with another person, There are 2 beds, 2 set of table chairs, 2 shelves or 1 depending on the room and 1 almirah. Coolers are allowed but heaters are not. No electrical appliances allowed. Meal quality is good compared to other hostels or pgs menu is followed every day breakfast lunch snacks and dinner. Hostels used to be affordable but they recently changed the prices from 1.3k to 2.8k Registration is simple : you get allotted a hostel if you clear the marks or rank criteria and distance also plays a role. People living in faraway states have more possibility of getting hostels. 80% marks and 20% distance is the basis of hostel allotment.
Admission
I did apply to delhi University, but the criteria was to fill 4 subjects and i only gave exam for 3 subjects so my application was considered invalid. I took admission in a private college vips delhi but after staying there for 1 month (bca) i decided to go for a govt college because the fee was higher there and govt college had a bit lower. Admission process : cuet selection, verification, allotment of hostels, beginning of classes. Eligibility : cuet scores Cutoffs : often higher due to many students. Admission experience : alright.
Faculty
Faculty-to-student ratio: 60:6 Most of them are friendly. Faculties i personally liked : saumitra dubey sir Because he understands that we have other subjects to study for and does not impose hefty work upon us. There are no faculties i particularly dont like reason being all of them are trying their best to teach us. There used to be 2 mid sem exams and the avg of the 2 would be taken but nowadays it's only 1 . Mid sems are easier and none of the students fail, but end sem exams are much harder to attempt but only 2-3 students fail that too due to various difficulties.
Interview Experience
no only the CUET EXAM was the basis for admission into the course. process for admission: first choose the Domain and extra subjects mentioned in the cuet brochure for the respective course and university. Appear for the examination and you will get a scorecard based on which cut offs are decided . if yoy make it out for the cut off then you will get admission .
