Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course provides proper knowledge both theory and practical so it's satisfactory We get clinical postings in KMC where we get to learn many things Also we have simulation lab where we can practice Exams are of moderate level and practicals are quite interesting The questions are mostly essay type so it's better to answer rather than losing marks in mcqs

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship is provided at the out campus and other campus of manipal university including banglore, manglore, jamshedpur, vijaywada and manipal itself We get exposure to various cases in the hospitals of manipal

Placement Experience

3.5

This course is of 3year and a year internship after internship we can apply for the jobs there is no campus placement offers But with experience and name of our deemed University I think we can get a job easily For better options we should pursue masters too

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

For first year I paid 1,92,000 out of which 10,000 is for deposit..and the rest is for the tution fee which includes the lab fees, admission fees etc Their are scholarships available for konkani speaking people And also the pu toppers

Campus Life

5

Manipal University offers a really good opportunities and various kind of activities The library here has varieties of medical books available The place is good for relaxing too Sports and extracurricular activities also keep on happening The student council of our college organises varieties of events in which we have fun and get to learn new things too We also think about saving the earth by using epads for exams

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are quite affordable And food is also edible and good compared to any other hostels Cleanliness is also maintained properly A company called zolo manages the cleaning things The rooms are pretty spacious and aesthetic with proper ventilation The only problem is that we don't have space for drying clothes otherwise everything is good I live in a double sharing ac with attached washroom and I really loved the service here !

Admission

I applied in this college because of the popularity and the value that the degree from manipal university holds.. I heard that this college provides practical exposure for us to learn Better so I applied here Not many colleges offers my course..and whichever colleges offers this was the best one after AIIMS so I decided to take admission here. I didn't applied for any other colleges as I was totally satisfied with the college

Faculty

5

In my course we have 15 students in each batch and there are four faculties..the faculties are quite young and approachable they are more like our friends or elder siblings I like every faculty of my department We have 3 exams per semester the question paper is easy but the checking is a bit strict but it's manageable if we study we can definitely get good grades

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because occupational therapy is improving ones quality of life.I chose this so that I can help people that struggle with their everyday living after an injury.our curriculum provides all the practical skills that can be applied in real life settings.we have patients at our own hospitals and we have postings at different departments.we also have PMR that is physical medicine and rehabilitation that is especially useful for occupational therapists. After the 1st 2 months of our sem we have our 1st internals exam, theory and practical, then again after 2 months we have 2 nd internals, that is also theory and practical. And after 2 months we have our semester exams. As a medical student who is studying occupational therapy exams are difficult ,we have so much to study and we give more importance on practicals.
