Course Curriculum Overview

5

My course was a very common norm for someone who's also pursuing other courses like CA/CS, the faculty helps out there too The exams aren't difficult and the grading system is rightly made The faculty uses a lot of traditional teaching methods to make it more Comprehensive

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies like Wipro and Amazon have visited for agent level roles and there's a lot to do because the selection process is very difficult, they only consider a few students based on all criteria like attendance, background and grades which is fair, but internships shouldn't be that hard to score.

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible for placements after 5th semester with no backlogs Not sure about how many and which companies visited exactly Highest package was 8 LPA My plan was to get a masters after the degree so I did not appear in placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The staff is amazing The crowd is very friendly If you like cocurricular activities then there are lot of options too The grading system is fair No strictness on attendance The canteen is bomb.com Hostel facilities are pretty amazing too

Campus Life

5

Like I previously have mentioned, the campus is very green and beautiful and every building has a very innovative design. There's ample amount of parking for hostelers as well as day-scholars. The clubs are very active and they host a lot of events which unfortunately I was not a part of since I had my CA being run parallely.

Admission

I also applied to Symbiosis, and got shortlisted by merit but the graduation course fee was very high I also got shortlisted in BMCC but was not convinced by the infrastructure and it was significantly far from my place of residence Indira allows you to get admission based on merit + first come first served basis so it was fairly short process but it's not like anyone and everyone gets through

Faculty

5

The faculty is very generous and approachable The best faculty includes Bharat sir, Panicker sir, Ruchika ma'am, Ratna ma'am and especially Yogita Sutar ma'am They're extremely warm, kind and knowledgeable and helped me out in every way whenever I needed, especially during exam time I got a lot of guidance and help, course related and otherwise by Panicker sir The curriculum is fairly relevant, there are semester-wise final exams and tests in-between semesters

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
