Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I was a Science student during my PUC but I preferred to shift to BA where I have studied economics , sociology and public administration. I believed that it was important for me to learn this course as it was about the society, the administration and our day to day living structure. The cirriculum activities at college did helped me to understand about the social awareness and how to become an entrepreneur. Improvment in the areas of cirriculim would be to have more physical activities rather than class sections.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course for 3 years completion took about closed to 3.5lakh. The other course for other departments it was expensive around 1.5lakg per year. We had variou amount that we needed to pay for extra curriculum activities so if we include the fees structure would be close to 4lakh. During my time at college I used to apply for scholarships but never got one in the thre years.

Campus Life

5

Christmas on 25th December The accessibility of books and journals at the library was amazing they had all kinds of books needed. The facilities at the classrooms were really upto the mark. The sports activities was really good at the college almost everyone were involved. Yes, we had rotract club for the college which was really help.

Admission

Applied at Christ but Jyoti Nivas had more Options for the course I really wanted to take for my undergraduate. I didn't got rejection while applying at Christ but there was no availability during the month of July. The admissions process was simple not that tough it was

Faculty

4

The faculty at Jyoti Nivas were really good at teaching. They make sure that we are listening to the class while teaching. They were approachable at anytime of the day when we have doubts. The faculty that I liked the most was Radha ma'am, she was always ready to help when needed let it fe in terms of studies or outside college. The faculty that I didn't liked was Mamta ma'am, she was never good at teaching. We have 2 semesters in a year. The papers aren't that tough or easy it depends upon us if we study or not. There are about 10% who didn't cleared their papers due to lack of importance on studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

- curriculum specially for BA is not like how you see in other universities it's a comprehensive curriculum where your also studying subject like AI learning, data analysis, regional languages and so much more it is a comprehensive course which is not only focusing on your major but also on an overall development of you as a student.. - well we are not only getting in-class lectures but we also have a internal component of internship every year which helps us get an experience of real world situations and job market. -There is one course called numbers we have that could be improved it basically talks about mathematical in economic applications numerical implications particularly which has not been given more thought on it could be more elaborated and structured well. - frequency is high and difficulty is moderate usually.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Remarks:

I liked the course provided by this college. The subjects are different for every semester and the aura is splendid. This college provides a very good faculty which not only is good at keeping up with academics, but also is great in keeping a good rapport with their students. There is a whole variety of extra curricular activities which brings out the core personality of every student. I for a fact, had stage fear. But after I chose MIC, I really started getting over it.
