Course Curriculum Overview

3

I really like the curriculum here which doesn't follow up with core subjects for long and really teach computer subjects with time to time. We are taught 2 basic programming languages in the first year itself. The curriculum itself is strong enough to atleast help gain a student knowledge enough to get placed into companies on their own or make things work out. Though the course still needs to improve a bit by introducing more practical work than theoretical knowledge. The examinations here are conducted once every 2 months and are really to pass and get by and probably score very good if you work hard

Internships Opportunities

4

The placement cell is responsible for providing interns to the students but most of the students here look for interns in their own, offcampus because the offers made here are not the best and lack a lot of things. However startups and consultancy company approach the students here

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement here on campus is probably not the best while the off campus placements are really good. The packages offered off campus are almost triple as compared to on campus placements. One becomes eligible for placements after their 6th semester, they can apply for jobs soon after them. The highest package offered on campus is around 6lpa and avg package offered on campus is 4 lpa while the highest off campus placements are as high as 51 lpa while averaging at 20 lakhs. Companies like Wipro, Goldman Sachs, Barclays, HCL, Tata, Airtel etc. come here with jobs in campus. I myself will be applying for placements after my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee for BTech in computer science per branch are as follows - Cse core- 200000 Specialization in AI- 272000 Machine learning - 220000 Data science - 220000 Cyber security - 22000 Other than these you would be paying 25000 registration fees at the time of admission out of which 10000 is refundable. Exam fees is 9000 annual Library and sports fees is 2000 annually For categories other than general and OBC creamy, there are some concession on fees. U.P government also provides scholarships to student who have U.P state domicile and have a financial income below 1.5 lakh annually.

Campus Life

3

The college life here is not probably the best as compared to other colleges, social life is students here is poor only. There are 2 fest conducted annually, Glitch the tech fest and dawat-e-gbu the foodfest. They are conducted in the even semester of the year mostly. Though here we have a lot of facilities such as a big library with all the books and journals available. The library is 4 stories tall and a basement too with book bank services. The university campus also has fabulous sports facilities, indoor stadiums to swimming pools to courts of every sport, it's a heaven for one sport enthusiast. The university also has alt of student run clubs both official and unofficial clubs, which help students being out their creativity and skills to use them in real life

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostels in the campus are really good in terms of living and spacious area. Each student is provided a single seater non AC room with a balcony, while girls are provided a double seated room. Hostel washrooms are clean and premises are clean too. The food quality in mess is pathetic and most of the time not good enough to be eaten. I would say look for a tiffin service here because the mess authority would never even listen to you or your problems. The nearby areas for a renting pgs are kasna and nimbus The registrations for hostel is done a week before commencement of classes and the hostels are really affordable

Admission

I personally applied in over 20 colleges but mostly private. I did make into them and could've easily taken admission there but I preferred gbu because here we are getting a state government degree approved from aicte and ugc. Moreover the fee structure here is much cheaper as compared to all other colleges i applied into. The admission process here is very simple, you can easily get into here by 2 methods- GBU-ET and direct admission (jee mains score valid) The cutoff herre for GBU-ET is around AIR600 for cse branch and for jee mains you need to have a least of 70 percentile. While the eligibility criteria here is only a minimum of 50% in 10+2 with PCM

Faculty

4.5

The faculty to student ratio is good here, one faculty is provided for one subject and one lab respectively. Most of the permanent faculty are good in terms of teaching and marking system while the temporary faculty really don't care about students and are here just on their contract basis. The computer science professors are the best here and really do support the students while the core subjects teacher are not the best. One can easily approach the faculties for their problems or doubts which they will solve without any hustle. Here we follow normal cgpa system where the passing criteria is 40/100 marks per subject or 4cgpa annually. The 100 are broken down as below- 15- internal 25- midsem 60- endsem

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
