Hotel management and its pros and cons at RIG institute of hotel management

As I was already interested into cooking and was knowing that I can Persue food production for my career I joined hotel management. Both type of teachings are done on campus theory as well as practical. To get real world experiance we are also sent to 5 star hotel for industrial training for 4 months to max 6 months.

Intenship is offers on many different hotel brands ex Marriott, Taj, Hayat , the park , raddison, international ex Mauritius, New Zealand , USA , in every available department , the do interviews in every possible location

From 5 th Sem all the students are eligible for campus placement in hotels , cruise and international placement as well My senior got into government of India in parliament as executive chef with package of rs 12lakh per year . Almost 95 % students gets placement as some opt for business startup's, my plans are to persue for masters in hotel management after completing my course.

Fee structure is of 65k per sem I.e 1,30,000 per year , scholarships is provided on exam basis and percentage base of class 12 th. All the courses have different amount as per required ex diploma for rs 98,000 a year.

We do organise annual sports day every festival in college itself all the books related to the course is available in library itself . For technical practice computer lab is also available and students can access by asking permission from hod . There is no social groups run by students.

I went for hotel Management because of rejection from Jimms even I paid to go for exam and the didn't call for it as I was also intrested for bca and also I was waiting for my CUET result at that time and time was running out.

Faculties are really nice as the help in our lives, our study , producing events for fun , a casual relationship with faculties are also there as to fun . Exams are done on midterm basis and 3 mid terms are done . 2 Nchmct exams 1 practical and 1 theory.

While admission I was interviewed by the director of the college and I was asked for what information do I know about the industry, how do I came into knowledge about the industry. They asked me technical questions about the industry what it is made of and etc.
