Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Well, just like any other grade B or C colleges this college too fail to give what they actually promise. After interning in 4-5 reputated healthcare institutions we realised that pursuing BMLT with this much fees is waste of money and nothing else. A DMLT candidate gets same scope and salary as us at much cheaper cost(usually 60k-1lakh for 2years) Even now the healthcare institutions are hiring DMLT candidates only as they are affordable and some of them have much more hands on experience than us. Laboratory engagements should be encouraged rather than classroom teaching only as it is totaly practical based work. Ca's are frequent but they wont cause any stress.

Placement Experience

0.5

After the completion of 4th Sem the students are eligible for placement interview. Only One On Campus placement drive by Gd Diagnastic Center were conducted for our respective degree and 4 pf us got selected but after document verification they denied .Literally none of us have got any placement so average package is just a daydream for us All of our batchmates are thinking to switch our carrer because this degree and college(which we chose ourselves) just messed up our undergrad degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

We had to pay 44200/- per semester which includes 1200/- exam fess charged by the university for each semester. I got Swami Vivekananda Merit Scholarship from state government and no other scholarship were offered from the college(They dont have any) Caution fee of Rs 10000 were taken during admission, but they return it after graduation

Campus Life

3

Annual function,Annual sports, Teachers Day and many other small indoor events were organised. The library is the X factor of the college as it has vast collection of books and great accessibility. All of the classrooms were equipped with Projectors and white boards which made learning easy for us. As i said earlier the campus is way too small so there is no place at all for any sorts of extracurricular activities. Yes, separate common room for boys and girls offer carrom and table tennis but those rooms were hardly accessible.

Admission

Their were very few colleges that time who were offering BMLT. Admission process was so smooth just like buttering a bread with knife. Admission is merit based of higher secondary level and a entrance examination conducted by the university

Faculty

3

We had 4 core subject faculties excluding our Lab in charge who used to conduct all laboratory processes. Faculties are approachable and most of us had very relation with them. 10/10 for faculties Dr Sougata Niyogi and Bidyut Kar were my favourite faculties because of their indepth knowledge in thier respective field, their way of teaching, their approach towards us,their moral values and all made them my favourite professors amongst all. I personally dont have any issues with any of the faculties regarding their teaching We used to give 3 Continuous Assessments (CA) 25 marks each ,2 Practical Continuous Assessment(PCA)40 marks each and end semester examination 70marks each for each semester. CA and Pca's were often easy but end semester examination used to be pretty tough.

There are alot of external classes that happens as the college doesn't have all the professors present in the college so the professors from other institutes comes and also for other classes like anatomy physiology we have to go to medical college for classes. The internal classes aren't very good as we have to study most of the syllabus by ourselves

For those who want to take addmission in this course it will be a great choice .. the environment of brainware is very good the faculty members are very friendly and helpful. There is also a mentoring option in the university for every course there is a mentor teacher allotted of every class that helps very much the students. Talking about tha qualification of the faculties they are highly educated Some of them i know are retired professor of jadavpur university. The exam system in brainware is mostly good from the 1st sem they take power point presentation infront of class to master the public speaking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always had a nag for it. There are at least 2-3 teachers provided for every individual subject of our course. That makes the student-to-teacher ratio quite great. Teachers who take our classes are all M.Sc passed or more, and their teaching method is quite effective and easily understandable. Term exams were taken after one or two months gap, and difficulty was moderate.
