Course Curriculum Overview

4

There is a guaranteed job confirmation and i love the most and it is one of the most secured job The facuties are really high class most of them are nearly top nothch and most of them are in really top positions like president of IMA, president of IPA They teach nearly very well and you can understand really well The exams were once a year but you have you internal assessments in between the course of time and the exams were little bit difficult because its a human body so it is little bit difficult to understand the subject

Internships Opportunities

5

As you see each and every medical college in th country had a year of internship after you complete you 4 years if study. This is where you will get exposed clinicall amd you can improve your knowledge. And the stipend is based on the state for us it was 27000 per month

Fees and Financial Aid

Initially by the time of the counselling itself we have to pay the tuition fee for the 1st year which was 13600 it is uniform to every govt medical colleges in TN. After that once you go for admission in the college they will ask you to pay the library, caution and green care fund and deposit for hostel. I am BC category student for me the tuition fee is as i said above for the SC and ST category students the tuition fee is much less like for the 1st year it was around 5000 and in remaining years around 1500. They provide scholarship category wise for those parents having annual salary less the 4Lpa.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life was quite good compared to other colleges in the state. Annually they will conduct Hostel days (separately for boys and girls), culturals, magazines and tamil mandram. The month it will be conducted will be decided by the conducting batches. As considering sports we have one of the finest cricket, basketball, football and volleyball (women) team. they will go for a tournaments monthly once for sure because there will be many intercollege sports meet. We even got national level, state level and district level badminton players. At the same time you can't compromise your study as you are a doctor it is your main duty, you will have each and every author books for every subject. They have separate libraries for own book amd library books. We have some portals and social groups conducted by our students in social media.

Hostel Facilities

5

Registration for hostel is not at all a thing. You have to complete you admission in office bring your admission slip in the hostel office they will ask you to pay deposit 20000 once you paid the process is completed you will be alloted rooms. You will share a room with 2 person totally there will be 3 per room, you will get a separate cupboard, separate cots and separate table and chairs. They are well aerated you will get 2 fans and 3 light in the room and you will get 2 plug points. Hostel menu was decided by us this is where our hostel stands ahead of other college hostels. The menu will be discussed with the every batch students and the batch in charge will be finalise the menu. The mess fees will be based on the extra foods you consume other than basic foods so it will be around 5000 to 7000 per month

Admission

You should atleast score 50 percentage in university exams You will go through counselling process based on NEET marks and you will get application form Yeah every college in tamilnadu has a reservation benefits including kanyakumari medical college

Faculty

4

For the 1st and 2nd yr you will be in the non clinical subjects so you will attend your classes in the lecture for full time. For the 1st yr you will get minimum a 1 facult for 30 students. Afterwards the 3rd and 4th yr are clinical subjects where you enter into clinical postings, but the clinical postings will start in 2nd yr itself for the exposure. But you will get into actual clinical postings in final and prefinal yr. Here come the legendary faculties like Ex IMA president who is the HOD of General Surgery who is the great teacher and a surgeon you will be ever seen in your life who is favt for our batch. And for me there is no faculties who i disliked everyone will be good in someways. The university exams will be conducted once in a year which will be ofcourse difficult. Difficulty increases as you go onto next years. And there will be some Internal Assessments which will be decided by the respective departments. Minimum 6 to 7 per year failed yo clear but they eill have re exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.
