Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is great and well balanced even though some might think it's to hectic or pressure loaded but believe me you will find your way out of it and it's totally related to your field and facilities help you to find you way into a company of your field effectively.
Internships Opportunities
Well it depend from branch to branch if internship is compulsory but still there are WhatsApp groups formed for this internships if you want to do and get certificates for it. You can just contact your faculties regarding this and they'll be really helpful. I prefer that you do internship in the summer vacation after your second year. That way you have more knowledge of your field. You can do it again in 3rd year summer vacation too. Prefer summer internship because that's only what you can do. It's the only vacation out of two vacations that is 1.5 to 2 months long. Diwali vacations is around only a month long max.
Placement Experience
Campus placement of my college is very well reputed and good According to me because mostly the companies first prefer to come to this university to take students. And for my field average placement record is around 6-8 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees- ?1,52,000 All fees are included in this only no extra fees requested. You need to pay for participation in some activities if you are interested. No DDU hostel for boys but for girls it's there.
Campus Life
Well the infrastructure might not be that good but it does have a canteen whose food is quite good. There different clubs like sports club, photography clubs, etc. for you to take part in. And well for social aspects that's up to you on how good you are with interacting with people. There are seminars conducted on various world wide topic and also field and branch spefic topis too. And famous and successful people come from outside for this.
Hostel Facilities
Well DDU doesn't have its own boys hostel but it does have girls hostel. But there are other food private hostel literally at walking distance of max. 5 minutes(for my hostel). And the 3 times a day meals are provided and are of great quality and feels like home. Rooms are great and they have cleaners come every and clean rooms. Well prices might be high ranging from ?98,000 for non AC room for 3 sharing and mess included for year to ?1,17,000 for AC for 3 sharing with a mini refrigerator and mess included for year. There is also ?10,000 deposit for electricity bills per person i.e. ?30,000 per room of 3 sharing. And don't worry after you finish your year you get your unused money from deposit back. There 2 sharing AC rooms too with household type medium size refrigerator. This information is for Aarav Boys Hostel, where I live.
Admission
I knew that chemical engineering from thai college is of a very high value. By fees parameters its lowest and alsothey give you 3 chances in total to pass in semester. Admission is simple and by ACPC only. Take your ACPC form and other documents and it's easy to admit into college.
Faculty
I'm doing chemical engineering for this university. Faculties are really friendly and student oriented. You are free to ask any doubts or questions and it'll be solved. The semester is of 6 months ideally with all exams and only one vacation per semester i.e. summer and Diwali vacations only. Three sessionals are taken in three consecutive months with 33% of syllabus in each sessional. It is of 36 marks. You need to get an average of 12 marks from these 3 sessionals. If you miss out any sessional there is a block exam where in you will give a 36 marks paper and it'll contain 100% syllabus of semester. And then there is final theory exam of 60 marks. For passing you need 24 marks. If you fail any of the above sessional or theory exam criteria to pass you can give a remedial exam for the failed subject. And if you fail in remedial exam too you still have one last chance to pass by giving re-remedial exam. Per subject fees is ?400 for theory or sessional on for both it's ?800 per subject.
