- The overall infrastructure and placement opportunities as well as internships are good
- The canteen is also at an affordable price and offers quite tasty food which is more than expected
Dislikes
- The classrooms aree pretty much stuffed and the water from ac drips on the floor the whole time.
- Some teachers are good but most of them are most likely not interested in teaching or they don't understand that the student is lacking in basics so they fail to make things clear to us
Course Curriculum Overview
This college is good when it comes to overall development of students and gives aglimpse of real world technologies along with the insights to scientific World. Computer science is the basic needs of a person to be able to get a good job at a multinational company or ITC .
Internships Opportunities
This college provides a facility to study abroad for one year which is really helpful to the students who dream to go to foreign countries to study .There are so many internships provided from the companies like lava , intellipaat , TCS , Amazon, tata, Microsoft and many more.
Placement Experience
At least 80% of the students get employed through placements where it's from mass recruitment pr others but placement wise this college is worth the fees. The average cgpa a student has to maintain is around 7 to 8 cgpa and the skills are most important for the software development companies so make sure to earn some certifications beforehand.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am in first year srm -ncr campus pursuing btech in CSE core a 4 year degree and the placements of this college according to me is average because as compared to other colleges the package is little less srm-chennai is way better but again it's more expensive. I know a senior who passed out engineering with 8.0 cgpa and got placement of 7 lpa so pretty much good as I can say. The fees is a little too much but if I get a placement at a good place then of course it's worth it
Campus Life
The clubs are so much fun and interactive and it also helps in confidence development I joined hackhound and all the information about coding related competitions are given to us beforehand which is very helpful and it really helps in improving my coding skills . There are also clubs for dancing , singing( Magan) , drama(AArzoo) and many more they all have there own benefits . The library is wide in area and very neat and clean it has an aura of productivity and you can issue the books in no time.
Admission
I got the provisional allotment letter for symbiosis,Pune and Kalinga institute of information and technology (KIIT) .I also got galgotias from uptu counselling . But Kalinga institute was far from my home and my parents didn't allow me to go there and that too alone . Symbiosis and galgotias were an option but symbiosis was also far from my home and also srm was way better than symbiosis and galgotias in terms of placement. Srm provides better placements and internships than the three of the colleges I mentioned .
Faculty
The faculty members are cooperative but sometimes they just don't listen to our queries . Exam system is excellent ,course structure is perfect as one needs to know all the basics and all the syllabus is great,marking schemes I don't know as sometimes teachers gives us less marks for internal exams even if I give them all the answers and files ,assignments too.students are less likely to fail.
