Course Curriculum Overview

3

On a Personal basis, I choose this curriculum as my parents expected me to become a doctor this course is very necessary to the future academy and also includes the real world applications in the training period. This college uses virtual and audio methods to teach students in the class. The practicals are also very necessary like dissection of cadavers , patient doctor relationship, communication skills , and other necessary skills in the field. The course can be improved in our college especially by also focusing on extracurricular activities as well. There is only one fest every year and no other events are conducted . The frequency of exams conducted are very high . Every month there is minimum of 3 - 4 exams. They are also difficult on a certain level.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The internship is provided to all the graduates of the college. The inters are provided with comparatively less stifunds than the other medical Colleges . The patient inflow is not that great as per my knowledge which I asked a few 4-5 seniors and faculties. But the management has built a multi speciality hospital along with the previous hospital and will be opening shortly. . Therefore the improvement in this aspect can be expected.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides three types of seats that is government, private and management. The government fees - 6.5 lakhs The prvt fees - 11.5 lakhs The Management fees - 35 lakhs The above mentioned is only the tuition fees. The college also provides hostel. The caution fees is collected by the KEA that is 100000 for the mop up round. The college is a Tamil minority college all though it also considered the other categories like SC or St general Muslim minority and OBC. The scholarships or the financial aids are provided to the obc category students. It is provided once the admission is taken . The scholarship amount is about 20000 only.

Campus Life

2

There is only one fest every year and it is called strings. This is conducted for 3 days. This happens during the month of September or the last week of August. The library is well equipped. Has wide range of reference books and text books . The course related magazines are also available. The library has electronic tabs with prep ladder with notes , study material and lecture videos . The sports and other extracurricular activities take place once a year during the fest There is no proper play grounds for any sports. There are no social groups and clubs run by the students. The students life is more surrounded by only academy and and a grain of social life .

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel provides AC Food Laundry Room maintenance Furnishings (a study table, bed and a chair) Washrooms we'll maintained and cleaned very often. The food is only veg and non veg is not allowed inside the college campus . The food is made sure has all nutrients bybthe committee though the taste is neglected sometimes. The hostel Registration process is done along with paying the college tution fee. The near by area is not very safe as the college is in the out skirts of rural Bangalore. But still there is nisarga layout or rented houses in dandupalya in hoskote.

Admission

As the mbbs selection is based on only neet exam, I had no other choice as I got this college. This college is one of the oldest colleges of Bangalore and has a good reputation among the society This college provides Tamil minority reservation. The cutoff marks for mbbs differs every year. The last year it was around 400. The admission is done as soon as the councelling is done and the fees is paid .there are no other exams or interviews to qualify to enter this college.

Faculty

5

I have just finished my first year MBBS in this college the faculties are very knowledgeable the faculty to student ratio is low as a students in each class are up to 150 in number. All the faculties are very approachable. The relationship between a faculties and students is very professional and beneficial for students In first year , the anatomy department is one of the strict department, the faculties expect fear and respect the most . The rest 2 that is the biochemistry and physiology department are friendly and linent . There are no faculties that are disliked or hated . Honestly the major plus point of the college is having very well experienced faculties. The first year duration is about 1 year and every month there are class tests on each subject. Every three months there is internal exam. The final exam is conducted by the university (rguhs). The class tests are comparatively easy while the internal exams are tough. 90percent ofthe students clear the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
