Honest review of Chandigarh University

Chandigarh university is 100 % free from ragging and that is so true because there are very strict rules about ragging. They provide so many opportunities in every field and also give a good college life. Only thing they lack is management at some points.

Merit List

The course curriculum is quite good , they offer all the courses with specialisation in each of them, the only course they don't offer is medical . They also councel you about the courses in which you fit good and interested . So I quite appreciate their effort.

University does provide internship but I did not experience any until now so I am unable to tell about the experience and stipend , but I did participate in some workshops and those were quite productive .

This university is Asia's fastest growing university and it does have highest placement records and that's true if you are capable you will get the job , they provide you the platform but your placement depend upon your interview as well.

There are several events celebrated in our colleges first of all , all the festival then Tashan nites after a period of time where celebrities come and perform live along with it CU fest is the biggest event where students from all over the country come and stay here for a week and everyone enjoy several events and perform.

Fee structure is feasible and less than any other private university along with it they offer scholarship on the basis of +2 marks and CUSAT score. For example in my case normally fees for 4 year engineering program along with hostel is approx 15 lacs and above in any other college but in CU it cost me around 10 lacs only.

Chandigarh university offers scholarship on the basis of 12th marks and CUSAT score along with it they notify about any other scholarship available for students also if you have passed any competitive exam then you get more scholarship .

They have well equipped labs with all the facilities along with it there are activities like seminars ,workshops , and expert talks are arranged on a regular basis along with it several workshops competitions like robot war , robot race , no explosion rocket launch etc are also organised . Along with it there is a sports complex and students interested in sports can join it as many of the students from CU have won medals in Commonwealth and other nation and international events.

Hostel infrastructure is good, food is OK they also provide free gym with canteen within the hostels, only problem with hostel is that for first year students rooms are quite big while from 2nd year onwards rooms are small.

Yes senior are like friends they help you in every way possible and apart from that in most colleges there are no proper rules for ragging but CU campus is 100% ragging free and that's because of nice and helping seniors

Exam structure is so convenient there are two mid semester tests and one final exam , which gives proper time for understanding the subject and testing your knowledge. The final exam consist of 60% while internal marks along with mst consist of 40% marks and final cgpa depends upon the highest marks.

I applied to Chandigarh University on its fasttrack portal and I was shortlisted on merit basis after which I deposited 10000 rupees as seat confirmation which was reduced further from fees after seat confirmation . I came for campus visit and after my satisfaction I submitted my documents and confirmed my admission.

Faculty is ok as I am first year student so some teachers are quite good but some are just average. Many of the faculty members are PhD or pursuing PhD from CU and some of them are post graduate . I talked to seniors and they say that 2nd year onwards teachers are quite good .
