Local College in Village

All good remarks about college. The college management and staff are desperately trying to put up a show and survive. But what to do? Students are of low quality and location in the village. Nothing big achievement can be done.

Most of the students are from the very low background who passed from government schools in the Tamil medium. I got scared after seeing their behavior and vernacular communication in Tamil. I was shocked to see that I got admission in the wrong place. After 1 month, my convent English started deteriorating after mixing with these local Tamil language students. My father noticed my English language change and asked me to explain what is going on in college. After my explanation, my father got alarmed for selecting the wrong college for me and regretted it.

No events are celebrated for students. All events are performed in a strict manner to show publicity of college in media and newspapers and to attract more new students for the next year. Students are treated like trained animals to do only specific tasks.

Fees are per Anna University structure. But for the amount spent in this college, Chennai city colleges give a better quality of education, facilities, and reputation. Students here become very local and dumb after joining this village college. Definitely, everybody will feel they went backward in life and career after joining this college.

No, Have not opted for any scholarship or education loan. But college will give study certificates for the next year, 6 months in advance to help students apply for a loan in banks early and sanction at the time of reopening. The staff will keep on pestering to pay loan fees early. Early loan disbursal by banks also helps the college to pay salaries to staff and keep college functioning.

No extracurricular, labs, sports, competitions such as robotics, debates are available for students. All events are performed in a strict manner to show publicity of college in media and newspapers and to attract more new students for the next year. About alumni. One or two students placed in software companies for 3lakhs p.a. for which interview was held outside the college. But college will claim as though software companies came here for recruitment. Others are placed in 10,000 p.m salary doing menial jobs like lab assistants, technicians, helpers, masons, insurance agents, etc.

The college staff were very helpful and started giving basic English language coaching like for school students.
