The course is heading to moot state. their are no jobs in this feild and mass production of engineers with just book knowledge and no feild experience is given. Engineering colleges are just a factory for corporate labourers

Placements were offered and are going on currently as well. eligible students are getting offered but the supply is so high the demand is very less so may are unemployed and companies are coming quite frequently.

Fees and Financial Aid

At my time my fees currently is 4.5LPA nad has now increased to 5.5 for my course Yes you can get scholarships based on your cgpa each year Currently hostels are too costly. its better to stay outside and being a north indian I am charged extra because of language barrier.

Campus Life

Campus and Clubs provide a great opportunity to interact and know more people. but again no diversity is their in friendships. Hindi speaking stay together and Tamil stay together no one wants to know wach other

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are pretty average and basically what you imagine is all true in times and the hostel naughtiness is their all kinds of mischief are done in hostels . Rented accommodation is better after staying in hostel because their u really learn how the adults are managing livelihood as well as their jobs and personal lives

Admission

This college was far from my home and I wanted to love independantly and make my mistakes and learn to live alone. Also this was the only college that had AI/ML course at the time so it offered me opportunities.

Faculty

Faculty members lean towards tamil students more and we are discriminated a lot. They have different rules for each student. Sometimes faculties are genuine and they do care. They are good sometimes and genuinely help

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG. Entrance is their for SRM University and one has to clear that to get admission here.
