Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Course which I am pursuing is Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering with a specilization in artificial intelligence and machine learning and this course is designed to provide a better result and a better placement approach to the students , The course is designed with new advance technologies and equipments If we talk about exams then exams are going to little bit difficult but its easy to tackle it if we study properly

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship provided by the college is good and they conduct every internship program in the semester break so that the students get to learn about the industries in their free time Small companies that are linked by the college provide free internship for the students who are in 1st to 4th semester and from the 5th semester onwards students can get paid intership and the amount of stipend is also decent.

Placement Experience

4

The placement from the college is very much decent as Much of the MNc's Visit the college every year and opt students based on their cgpa and skills From the 5th Semester onwards the students become eligible for the internship and from the 7th semester onwards the students get eligible for the placement and work in the companies. The average package in the college for btech students is 6-8 lpa but for the Computer Science Students it may be higher upto 8-10 Lpa Almost 75% of the students get placed in the college in a good company and this is also one of the reason that i like this college

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a student of this college and the fees structure of this college is ?95000/- per year that is ?47,500/- per semester and this semester fees includes the academic fees , the computer lab fees and the other co-curricular activites fees and also the library fees As I am a general student so i am paying a whole ?47,500/- per semester The examination fees which is dependent on the university in the which they will enroll you and the examination fees is nearly ?4000/- per semester. However, scholarship is provided as per the marks obtained in JEE Mains or on the basis of the marks you obtained in your class 12th. However, scholarship is based on your category certificate also. You have to pay the fest fee apart from the tution fee that is around ?1500/- and basically that is added in the even sem of the course.

Campus Life

4

Overall campus life is all good and the faculties were all good and the friends i have made are very helpful and they lead me to a good pathway The range of books and journals in the library are all good and up to date The computer lab is all equipped with the latest technological advancements and with good accesories and with the new pheripherals Sports always happens in 2 times in the year where the college team goes to the university to play different games and sports such as Chess , Volleyball and many other outdoor sports. The technical festivals in the college is held every year and participation in these events are also a source of fun in the college life Apart from technical festivals our college also organises different events based on the nearest festivals and events Different Clubs and social groups also work in the college to make college life more interesting and fascinating Some of these clubs are Educational and many are based on the sports and all work for student

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel Facilities are good as per the charges and we get high speed wifi and 2 -4 routers equipped on each floor for students There is a very peaceful enviorment in our hostel and some faculties also live in the hostel and they are all so good Talking about the food of the hostel mess the food is good and healthy and we get to taste every vegetable in the mess menu

Admission

I chosed this college over other colleges because this college has a positive vibe and I have heard a lot about it's B.Tech course and according to the seniors the placement is very much decent I Did'nt opted for other B.tech colleges because i am getting electrical branch and in other college i am getting mechanical branch I also got a Delhi University but Iam getting bachelor of science B.sc in mathematics in the college of Delhi University.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is good and each faculty proper visions each and every student to grow and develop skills so that they get better placement oppurtunities I liked my Data Structure and Algorithm teacher s much beacause they always give me a better approach to everything for problem solving to algorithm solving

Interview Experience

4

No I did'nt faced any kind of group discussion while taking admission in this college , However I interviewed with the admissions manager of this college who handles all the admissions in the college. So as I am a B.Tech student so gave me some technical questions regrading my branch as a beginner and I solved almost all of them then the admission procedure took place. At the time of convocation a session of group discussion is being organised to check the knowledge of the students about the real life and at that time the topic for the group discussion was "Should EV cars can be the future". In that group discussion the student from the various branches took place and contributed their knowledge. If we talk about the admission process then we have to submit the documents and simply when the college verifies the documents then the admission process takes place. Then we have to fill the registration form of this college and then we will be registered as a student of this college. The admission in this college does'nt took much efforts it was easy taking admissions in this college.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)

I did'nt opted for this college beacuse of the distance issue and i don't like to pursue bachelor of science

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
