Remarks

The overall college experience was really fun. I got to learn a lot of things as I was staying away from my family and was entirely dependent on my own self. The college management is pretty good.

Course Curriculum Overview

This was a 4 years course and my branch is Mechanical Engineering. I found the course curriculum very tough, Specifically, the computer-related subjects were very tough in the first semester.

College Events

There was a celebrated cultural event conducted every year. Lectures used to encourage students to participate. There were dance and Mad-Ads programs from students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's expensive for the students because the fees are near to 250000 Rs. per year. It's not affordable for each student without the scholarship or lone but those students who belong to the rich family they easily afford it.

The extracurricular activities were very good at there. There were organized the games for students and we all participated and get much fun with our college friends.

Since we were staying in college we had a lot of chance to interact with our seniors who were providing good guidance on the study and notes also.

Admission

I passed by 10+2 and JEE-Mains Entrance Exam and got the qualified rank in Entrance Exam then I got the admission to SRM University.

The faculties are well educated and supportive and provide a pleasant environment for the development of students. All the faculties are Doctorate and having good experiencing in academics.

Wonderful VRSEC- Where a student can create wonders

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards students are eligible for participating in drives.The students should have cgpa above 7.5.. Recently TCS has visited our campus and offered 450+ jobs,HSBC offered 9 students with 9.5 lakhs packages. Amazon,google,Microsoft,TCS,Infosys,Deloitte,PWC,Adobe,Accenture etc are the companies that visits . Highest package is 52lakhs in amazon Average package is 5 lakhs 96 percent of the students are getting placed. My plan is to get placed in product based company.

Remarks:

Positive remarks for that college is only one thing that is faculty was good behavior and responding student issues. For coming to negative remarks except what I said above, remaining all are negative. There is no proper transport availability. Management is not comparative with student ideology. There is no proper playground. No proper canteen.

After completing my intermediate I have applied for sastra University Thanjavur,SRM AP,VIT AP. However I couldn't get into sastra as I didn't get a CSE seat in it due to less marks and regional difference. Compared to VIT and SRM I thought SRM is better as it has better infrastructure, placements and good faculty. Students can get admission either through SRMJEEE or EAMCET . There is no cutoff rank for students through SRMJEEE. Cutoff for Students through EAMCET changes according to their caste. I chose SRM AP over VIT or local picks due to its modern tech focus. Some students miss IIT or NIT because of high JEE ranks. SRM AP is a top private choice for CSE.
