Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum is according to the CMBE and NMC guidelines. It prepares you by giving a strong foundation in core subjects as well as plenty of clinical exposure to gain experience working in the medical field.

Fees and Financial Aid

Beautiful campus, well furnished lecture halls. Laboratories are well equipped and faculty are qualified. Academics wise, good college. Hostel and mess facilities are not up to mark but good enough. Location is also not convenient.

Campus Life

3

Fresher's events, culturals week and festivals are celebrated each year. Sports events are also organised every year. Sports facilities available. College infrastructure is good and spacious. Library is well equipped with medical books of various authors and all editions. In addition, medical journals and articles are also accessible to students. Anti-ragging committee does a good job at ensuring student safety.

Admission

Applied to PSG and KMCH but didnt get seat as i applied late. Chose this over Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University due to patient flow and known faculty. For UG course, NEET UG is needed and NEET PG for postgraduate courses. Admission follows the Tamil Nadu counselling for medical colleges. Cutoff depends on the quota you apply in, and fees also vary according to the same. After getting a seat, admission process is a breeze, once we get the relevant documents needed.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty to student ratio depends on the batch. But one-on-one help and students are divided into smaller groups for extra academic support and attention. Some departments are stricter when it comes to college rules and following them but it is not a bad experience over all. Internal assessments are held once every 4-6 weeks and appropriate support is given to students when needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.
