Course Curriculum Overview
B pharm is a high level course . Moreover I am interested in this field too. Each semester we have different subjects. 4th, 5th and 6th sem is having more subjects. Comparing with an mbbs, b pharm is not more and syllabus is also not vast.
Internships Opportunities
Normally in our college after 4 years internship is provided. Those who are interested can have interview and job. Almost every year different types companies came there with different job opportunities. And they select inmates according to their performances. They also offer a higher amount of salary . Normally in alshifa college of pharmacy Ernakulam based companies usually came with internship opportunities. They offer role such as medical representatives , researcher etc. The stipend is about 30,000 a month.
Fees and Financial Aid
B pharm is a high level course so there will be huge difference in fees structure when comparing to a normal degree. Per annum we have to pay about 1lakh 50 thousand rupees. And there will be a small decrease in the fees structure per year. Around 6 lakh is needed to become a registered pharmacist. Other than that if you need hostel facility or transportation facility you need to pay more. There are several scholarship for sc st and obc .
Admission
One should pass higher secondary education with minimum of 80% mark. There are normally three quatta for admission through management, merit and NRI. One can take admission through these quatta. For merit seat you should right KEAM and minimum of 10 mark is required to get any of the college in kerala. For management/ NRI seat you should contact the office , the number will be there in our alshifa college of pharmacy website and they will provide the further requirements. Application form will be provided by the college and application fees and dates will be there in our website. B pharm is a 4 year course but exams are conducted in semester wise( 3hr exam ). Of total 100, 75 is theory part and 25 is internal. After one and half month of joining there will be a sessional exam out of 30( 1hr ). There are two sessional exams in each semester. Out of 15 (30+30=60/4=15) you should have 7.5 then only you are eligible to write sem exam. It's not too difficult but not too easy too.
Interview Experience
Written test is there for merit seat. For management or NRI written test is not required, All you need is money and mark above 80% in twelth board exam. For keam exam, you should be aware of the basics which was thought in our school. And certain books are available which help to pass this written exams such as keam previous year question papers etc. There is no interview either group discussion for b pharm seat. There are many coachings centers available all over india which make us prepare for keam exam. And In kerala other than private college government college is also there. If we have good score and good rank in keam exam, no need for more money to study b pharm its just around 2 lakh to complete b pharm. If we have moderate marks in keam there is no need for donation you can easily take admission in any college you wish woth your marks. Normally in keam exam, almost questions are repeated one if we refer previous years questions, it is just a piece of cake. Keam is better way to
