What Students Say
Likes
- The hostel has great facilities and is better than most.
- The college building looks like a historical site.
- Many opportunities like hackathons to sharpen your skill.
Dislikes
- Faculty is very hit or miss, some are just there for the salary.
- Mess food is garbage like actually garbage.
- Fees ofcourse is way way too high and keeps getting worse.
Course Curriculum Overview
I don't recommend the college curriculum for future prospects in Computer science, you will have to work on yourself. The college provides very basic idea of how things work, it is important to maintain CGPA as many companies use it to filter students but overall unneed to accumulate knowledge by yourself.
Fees and Financial Aid
Manipal University Jaipur is one of the better newly emerging universities in the private education of India. Established in 2011, this university has shown staggering growth in a limited amount of time and is quickly gaining ground. But it's way too expensive and I don't recommend if your annual income doesn't align.
Campus Life
We have HACKX, SIH and bunch of hackathons happening all the time. The classrooms are very modern, the library provides for every text book you need and I have never had a problem where a book was unavailable. Clubs are there, I took part in the Randomize club last year. We also have the fests and celebrations for various festivals.
Admission
Well I was in a pickle, I had applied for bunch of private colleges after underperforming in jee. At the end it had come down to MUJ and UPES Dehradun. I chose MUJ because the hostel, campus building and area, it's staggering growth in a short duration, highest package, etc. were better.
Faculty
If I give a quick picture, some faculty like our EP teacher in first sem and current COA teacher are absolutely brilliant, very intelligent, interactive and commanding a sense of charisma. On the other hand there's our current OOPS professor who is just a mess, seems to always be in a bad mood and onlyntries to ridicule the students. There're mid sem exams and end sem exams, 75% attendance is mandatory and there're even marks around that(5 marks for above 85% attendance), actually many students fail and get backs, many get detained too.
