Reality of forensic science from Sanskriti University

Forensic science is itself a developing field and due to recent changes in 3 laws IPC, CrPC and IEA it would be given more preference then before which would eventually create jobs in this field. Our faculty tell us whatever you study here like types of crime scene, procedure to be followed when you first enter the crime scene , searching methods etc.... are all theoretical as when you are practically at the crime scene the situation is totally different and to prepare you for that there is time to time mock crime scene arranged. There must be more practical approach in the curriculum and there are very similar topics in both introduction to forensic science in 1st year and criminalistics in 2nd year. But there are certain changes in the curriculum made this yearlike addition of extra subject in 1st year for lab instruments and duration is also increased of the course from 3 year to 4 year. Exams are mostly conducted in first week of October and November and 3rd term in December

Fee 1st year 67500 could get scholarship of 50 percent on tution fee over it if give cuet ug and got good marks in it 2nd year fee 61500 3rd year fee 62500 Extra 4000 if fee is paid semester wise Tution fee 40000 Scholarship is also provided by university if got 9 cgpa in 1st year Army category fee is around 30000/year if father is in army or police

If you are a hostler then yes you can enjoy many of the festival in the campus like janmashtami, ganesh chaturthi, christmas, new year and many others. You can interact with international students and faculties too even forensic department itself have faculty from Sri Lanka. Students use to study in Library till 9pm and you can access both offline and online content. They tell you that they have AC classroom and library but truth is that those work very rarely especially during beginning of new sessions at admission time. Faculties use to send notes on your WhatsApp groups and also ask you to write during class totally depends on faculty.

I had given cuet ug but the result came out very late which made me nervous about if I could get admission in any college or not. Admission in this university was not a very wise decision it was in haste but later when cuet result came out I got seat in Delhi University shivaji college for bsc life sciences but my parents thought that cost of living is very high in Delhi and Sanskrit University is only about 25 km away from my home so I got into this. Admission process involves university own exam that is SUNAT, cuet ug is also accepted even all India forensic science entrance test is acceptable. One more thing is that University admission staff always tell you that there are only limited number of seats left but practically there aren't any limited seats admission are open in 1st sem till November so take your own time

There are almost 2-3 faculties of core forensic with the responsibility of 50 students of 1st year 26 students of 2nd year and 20 students of 3rd year as of September 2024 but the faculties are always available in lab and also you can call them during college hours and WhatsApp them your queries. In total there are 3 exams in one semester 1st term 2nd term and 3rd term. Exam paper are set by faculties of the university itself and 95% the faculty that is teaching you. And teacher only gives you the outline of the topics until or unless you ask questions and doubts from your side. If you ask questions then faculty will definitely answer it and would be happy to talk to you about your own research on the topic
