MBBS in mayo institute of medical sciences

The current cbme pattern or curriculum needs a lot of changes and it is not at all student friendly. It focuses more on theoretical concepts than practical and i think mbbs demands more of practical knowledge like talking to real patients and asking them about their problems ( taking history) followed by their treatment respectively.

Internship in mbbs is for 1 year with 4 major postings with a duration of 1 month in medicine surgery obs gynae and pedia while in rest there is minor postings for 15 days. You have to sit in opd and take patient history and then take him or her to the consultant for treatment or whatever. Stipend is rupees 5000 per month

In MBBS wherever you go in India you can't be unemployed they will give you job because there is so scarcity of doctors in our country . Average package offered to mbbs graduate is 10-12 lacs per annum or even more than that sometimes.

For the first year fees was 13.22lac and for the 2nd ,3rd year it was 10.87lac and at the last year it is 7.65 lac. For my batch 2020, Tuition fees-10.67 lac Hostel fee( ac hostel)- 175000 Miscellaneous fees- 80000 Caution money- 3 lacs one time For the batch 2023-24, Tuition fees -11,21,162 Hostel fees( ac hostel)-175000 Miscellaneous fees-85600 per year Caution money- 3 lacs one time No scholarship or merit or financial aids for the students

Annual programme of name synapse is held every year around Christmas. Ganesh chaturthi and Saraswati pooja are other festivals celebrated here. Library is good and has many books and journals. The LTs are equipped with AC . Extracurricular activities are minimal in our college and very less tournaments are held of sports . There are no students club of any sort

Hostel is automatically alloted while the admission process in the college. There are nice rooms equipped with air conditioners with attached bathroom.In every room 2 students reside . The main disappointment lies in the hostel food which is very bad and unpalatable. Hostel is situated in the college itself

I entered Hind medical college as my first option and second option i opted for was Mayo institute. I couldn't get hind because there the cut off was higher so i landed up in this college . All the documents which are listed in upneet.gov.in are necessary while the counselling process or admission process

Students are obviously greater in number 150 and faculty are 3 4 average in every department. Each professor in every department is helpful and always polite whenever we have doubts we go and ask them and they explain us very nicely. There are 2 internals or terminal exams and per university exam before the main professional exam in which many students suffer and fail .
