Course Curriculum Overview
The exams are a bit difficult as compared to other colleges and the split between the internals and final sem exam is also different from other colleges 60 for internals and 40 for externals for any course which makes it easy to score but on the other hand the more weightage of the internals is what makes it difficult to score bcz of the frequent internal exam and assigment submissions.
Internships Opportunities
As such many different companies offer internships in the campus but most of them are through hackathons and specific courses which you to apply for or win. The companies go as high as google if you have the skill and many startups like yellowchalk.
Placement Experience
The placements here are good but like any other private college you have to maintain your CGPA to get higher packages . According to past placements the top 10 companies have offered jobs to students with a CGPA of 8.5 or higher. The placements starts from ending of 7th sem.
Fees and Financial Aid
The standard tuition fee is 3.5L for year 2024 and it's same till the time i study here for Specialization in block chain Technology. For CSE core the fees is 4.5L and there are two types of scholarship one is merit based on the basis of your score and rank in SRMJEE and the second is special scholarships for army child or EWS section
Campus Life
The overall campus life is good . There are clubs with good opportunities and very good sponsors. For ex. There's a blockchain club which has the highest funding of all and is one of the biggest club of SRM.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are not what you expect but there what you can say bearable. There AC and non AC hostels both but the AC hostels are more ecpensive than any rented apartment you can find near the campus. The north indian foos is not good but there some days in weeks on which you can find very great food. The hostel booking process is fully online which you will have an option after online enrollment there's a specific on which you have to book your hostel and the process is first come first basis and AC rooms is hassle to get
Admission
I got admission in VIT chennai and MIT Manipal but looking into the curriculum i found that the research opportunities here are better than other colleges and it has got goverment funded research and professors with research opportunities for abroad too
Faculty
The curriculum in SRM is what diffrentiates it from other colleges the strictness and the difficulty levels are things which filter you out from the crowd and leads you to a better package opportunities
