- I love that the college has a vibrant and nature loving campus

- The boy girl ratio is a bit off where number of girls are relatively low
- Due to the off boy girl ratio the number of hostels for girls are less than boys. Especially ac ones
- The class schedules for some semesters are too stressful and tiring and hard to manage
Course Curriculum Overview
The practical labs for my course are very good. Well maintained equipments and resources. Even though the schedule and credits can be better the overall experience is very good. The exams are all relatively simple but there are too many record work to keep up with the studies of exam
Internships Opportunities
Internships can start from 2nd year and it is each student's choice. As I am in 2nd year I am not too sure of it. But I know from my seniors that joining for internships are beneficial and srm does give good internship opportunities as it has good tie ups with good companies.
Placement Experience
Highest placements are most probably 20 lakhs. The placements start frm 4th year I think. Many students get placements even thought it's hard for engineering students these days. After the degree I plan to get a placement and work for two years and go abroad for MBA
Fees and Financial Aid
I took Btech Civil so I am paying 2.5 lakhs every year and for 1st year paid 3.25 lakhs for nri hostel. My friends in Btech cse courses are paying 3.5, 4 lakhs etc. For normal hostels it will be 2.25 to 2.75 lakhs
Campus Life
There are two main festivals here known as aarush and Milan. They are very fun and enjoyable. Best times. There are respectively during September and match of every year. All the facilities are good here
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is pretty good. But the intime for girls can be better as it is at 6.30 and 7. It can be upto 8.30 as everyone are adults and can have more freedom. Boys have like intime at 9.30 so I think girls can also manage . The hostels are inside the campus close to classes so it's easy to walk. The food is also good they have north indian and south indian food. Hostel booking is through an online portal
Admission
I had applied to Christ college and Stella maris for different courses as I was not sure at the time. But Christ University is in banglore and my relatives were not too convinced when I got in. Stella maris I had given for bsc mathematics but in the end I preferred btech Civil over it
Faculty
The faculty members of the college are all very well qualified and educated. There are 3 cycles of exam and inbetween submission of assignments. The internals are for 60 marks and final exams are for 40 marks.
