The college is excellent and with new programs coming up every year, it is one of the finest educational institutions in the country.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is not only theoretical based but also research driven where students get a hands-on approach and practical based learning via on field projects and visits. The course structure is also divided into several parts. The weightage is not only given to the end term examination but also on other components.
Placement Experience
There is a separate center known as Career Development Centre which is focused on providing good internships and placements to the students.
College Events
Events are one of its kind. Events like Anadmela where numerous students from NGOs are invited to the college campus and where they have an interactive and fun day at the college. Cultural and musical events like Navratri and Yamini which is an all-night musical ensemble are also organized.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Rupees Two Lakhs for one academic year excluding library deposit and other misc expenses. The fees for each semester would be rupees one lakh. Scholarships are provided on need basis and financial basis in which students can get their fees exempted up to 90 percent.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not opted for any scholarships or educational loans in order to procure the hostel facilities as I have not availed it.
Campus Life
Ahmedabad University gives emphasis on maintaining diversity in terms of gender class religion sex caste and so on. It also gives a lot of emphasis on organizing extracurricular activities such as debates management fest social service cultural festivals and so on.
Alumni/Alumna
There is no distinct senior or junior hierarchy as students select their subjects by themselves and students from every discipline and across all years also take some courses together at times.
Admission
The admission process is holistic, where not only the academic performance of the students but also their extracurricular activities are given importance along with their communication and interactive skills. The admission process has several stages. In the first stage, the students fill up an online form that is screened and after which they are called for an interaction round with the faculties. If the student is selected and passes both the stages then the academic marks of the candidate are reviewed and then, at last, the candidate is offered the admission.
Faculty
The faculties at Ahmedabad University are one of its kind as they are highly efficient and qualified and efficiently impart knowledge. The faculties also focus on their individual progress throughout and continuously strive to update their knowledge and keep on publishing on their field of work.
