Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose dentistry because it is all about artistic skills. I've got a good handwork. In the real world, dentistry is very necessary for medical and aesthetic purposes. Exams are conducted in every two months.

Fees and Financial Aid

The actually fees of YDC is 20,00,000. But our college provides scholarships. There's 12,00,000 package and 15,00,000 packages. Hostel fees is 75,000 per semester including internship. To maintain scholarship, students must have 75% attendance

Campus Life

5

The college life at YDC is very happening. We've cultural rests every year. We've sports day every year. All kinds of books and journals are present in our central library. Classrooms are procvided with modern technology.

Admission

I had applied to many other colleges and got a confirmed admission in MARDC Pune. I chose this college because the campus was very attractive. I wasn't rejected by any other college. The admission procedure at YDC is completely based on NEET examinations.

Faculty

5

Faculty to students ratio is good. Faculties are highly qualified with BDS or MDS degrees. We've three internal examinations and one university examination at the end of the year,All the students cleared the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always loved the subject of endodontics and that is what motivates me to join the course. I also love surgery. The curriculum prepared us quite well for the outside world. But if I had to suggest improvements ,it would be to use advanced technology which would be relevant and find its use in clinical practice . We still have a lot of outdated concepts being taught ,which can be replaced. For example, amalgam restorations, IOPAR, extra oral radiographic techniques , etc. Instead of these, emphasis could be laid on composite restoration, RVG etc The 3 internals are conducted once every 3 months and final exam happens once a year. As I have mentioned earlier ,going through previous years question papers and learning your skills thoroughly should suffice to achieve a good score in the exams
