Course Curriculum Overview

As this is 4 plus 1 year internship course,access to patients are very useful for clinical practice in future.every internal exam are conducted once in three months and then university exam is conducted.

Internships Opportunities

1 year internship is there in our college. Around 20 patients are coming day by day in most of the departments . So it is very useful for us to practice. Stipend is around 6000 and it is provided by university

Fees and Financial Aid

My fee is 540000 tuition fee and 140000 hostel fee for 1 year . It is 15 lakh package. Also got scholarship in the basis of NEET examination otherwise the fee will 20,0000. I have already 2 years fee. Complete course fee is 1500000 and hostel fee is increasing yearly. Most of my batchmates have 1500000 package and also 120000 package.

Campus Life

Apart from studies cultural events are conducted every year and active participation is also there. Departments like public health dentistry gives access to social events that is based on dental practices.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good. In our room 3 person can accommodate. Entry and leaving timings are there and are following very strictly.Hostel food is good. Attendance is taken every day around 6.30 pm and night .

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

Admission is based on NEET examination marks. I chose this because of the teaching style and also college's infrastructure is so good.Also my college have 23 rank on NTA ranking and faculties are really good

Each department around 20 faculties are there. Every year 3 internal assessment is conducted and average of these are taken and also attendance is considered for the university exam. Marking are done by university.

Theoretical tour of KCDS

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always loved the subject of endodontics and that is what motivates me to join the course. I also love surgery. The curriculum prepared us quite well for the outside world. But if I had to suggest improvements ,it would be to use advanced technology which would be relevant and find its use in clinical practice . We still have a lot of outdated concepts being taught ,which can be replaced. For example, amalgam restorations, IOPAR, extra oral radiographic techniques , etc. Instead of these, emphasis could be laid on composite restoration, RVG etc The 3 internals are conducted once every 3 months and final exam happens once a year. As I have mentioned earlier ,going through previous years question papers and learning your skills thoroughly should suffice to achieve a good score in the exams

Overall it's a good experience

I had got an seat in Manipal University but the fees was so high which I couldn't able to afford .This course is only available in Yenepoya itself in Karnataka then there is no ther college with bachelor of dental technology course. Admission process is not that hard we will need to reserve some seat by paying some amount for advance fees orelse the seats will be filled very soon because most of the students form Kerala will be joining this college.The eligibility for this course is anyone with 12th pass with more than 60 percent in any stream....Read More
