Course Curriculum Overview
I chosed this course because it is a medical field without any surgical procedures. It involves rehab that is a very beautiful work to do. Till the final year of the curriculum you are almost ready to apply your skills. Ares of improvement could be more of practical experience, working hand in hand with medical college, and should involve more of surface anatomy and Radiology in the curriculum. Exams are of moderate difficulty. Exams are conducted in two terms by college it self and final university exam is conducted yearly.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is provided by the college itself, because this college has maximum number of patients then any hospital in the city. Time period of the internship is 6 months which involves 1 month of clinical posting in each department. Unfortunately there is no stipend for internship. Task of the intern here is to treat the patient using there skills. And a annual project is there.
Placement Experience
During the internship, students are eligible for the degree. Companies like child rehab center and one rehab provides placement. Average salary per annum is around 6 lakhs. My plans after getting degree is to build my own hospital.
Fees and Financial Aid
Early fees of this course is 1.17 lakh rupees, but Maharashtra government gives scholarship for all the categories except for open category, for OBC 50% of scholarship is there and more than that for SC and ST.
Campus Life
Once a year cultural fest is organised which includes different days, gathering, convocation ceremony of degree holders, bollywood night. Also fairwell and fresher's party is celebrated. Mainly all it occurs in the month of April. Classroom has projector for presentations, and has 2 practical halls. There is library with numerous Books of all the subjects and even computer lab has free access to thousands of soft copies of books and journals. Annual sports consists of turf cricket, basketball, throw ball, volleyball, athletics, badminton etc.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are good enough spacious with 3 windows. College itself provides two beds, tables, chairs and cupboards. One rooms is for two people. Each floor has a common bathroom and toilet for 4 rooms nearby. There is a water purifier and cooler in each wing. Food quality here is questionable, it is ok ok not that good nither bad. Fees is bit more as compare to the quality and maintenance.
Admission
I did not applied for any other colleges because I was willing for this college only, the reason is that this college is attached to a medical college hence it gives me maximum exposure to various kinds of diseases and illness. Admission process is after the Neet exam, according to the merits you admission
Faculty
Faculties here are well educated and expert in their field. They are friendly with the students. Dr Ganesh MSP and Dr Pritesh Yeole are the best faculties here. Course structure is 50% theoretical and 50% practical. Exams are conducted twice yearly and annual university exam is held at the year end. 2 or 3 students remains to clear the exams.
