Likes

Campus life was excellent. We hostelites used to roam late at night.
The hostel food was just good and some days ut would keep us grooved.
The surrounding area to college is also nice.

Dislikes

The administration is really weak and slow.
The hostel staff is also not upto the mark.
Some of the teachers were good but some were just not upto the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was upto par with the dental council which works all over India. The lab facilities were also great. The lab equipments requires some improvements and new models should arrive benefiting the students.

Internships Opportunities

There was one year paid internship in this college. We get to learn various procedures during this period as patient interaction increases. The faculties are also really supporting and helps us with everything.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees was 3,65,000 and it also included 50,000 per year as miscellaneous fees. The admission fee was 50,000 and the hostel fee was 2,10,000 for AC room and 1,35,000 for Non-AC room. The fee keeps on increasing per year for hostel but is fixed by UP dental council for tuition fees.

Campus Life

There were various events occurring now and then. The most famous and big event was Chorus which takes place annually. There was also an event called Evince which occured within the SDS premises and also outside.

Hostel Facilities

There are both AC and Non-AC rooms. There are both single and double occupancy rooms. The rooms are big and spacious. The meal is really good and they serve 4 times a day. The snacks and dinner is really good

Hostel Fee: INR 210000 per year

Admission

Getting into a government college requires high marks which I didn't have so I went dor a private college. This college had good ratings and also personally I visited which helped me to chose this college.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is low. There are a good number of faculties for each subject. The relationship to some of the faculties is just awesome. There were 3 exams and the final would be conducted in the month of July.

Every year there is slight variation when it comes to exams. They are not as difficult as we think.if we have studied well then exams are good to go. Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a neet aspirant only i decided i want to go for BDS and not MBBS for BDS is a more specialized course focusing only on the oral cavity and care. There are in total 9 branches under BDS and each branch in itself has huge scope in outer world. We start dealing with real patients from third year only so we have real experience of everything and by the time internship completes, we have enough knowledge to open a clinic of our own. And best part, BHU provides 50% internal qouta for its students so we've a better chance of getting a good pg seat from such a prestigious institution.

For admission one has to clear neet ug exam. The cutoff for bds admission doesn't go high and one can easily get seat if they even qualify neet exam. The application form and admission dates are all provided on updgme website as admission to the college is held by up govt not by college on merit basis. Reservation is no applicable as it is a private college. The admission is through neet ug exam , so one has to prepare to atleast qualify that exam. The admission process , since is held by up govt ; one has to travel cities to get the admission process done....Read More

The person who has qualified NEET UG exam is only eligible for the course. You can apply for the college through neet UG college selection criteria only. You need to first apply to the counseling conducted by NTA for Uttar Pradesh state. After completing registration for the counselling you need to pay a certain amount asked by the NTA and after completing all the steps mentioned above just fill SDS as your priority in the college choice filling option and if you qualify for the criteria for SDS you'll be allotted the college. The exam NEET is of 3 hours with a difficulty level of medium to easy. You need to qualify it with at least 200 marks out of 720 to get SDS....Read More

Better college

Purvanchal institute of dental science. I didn't choose it because I didn't find good infrastructure and in Sharada university, i got a qualified teacher and good facility .sharada university has a very nice campus with wi-fi. , practical labs.
