MITS Gwalior and it's College life

MITS has flexible curriculum according to the New Education Policy 2020. In college, there are core subjects for every branch a part form that students can also study courses of different departments for which they get minor degree in that branch. In every other colleges, students have to study the basics of every branch in their first year but in MITS the core subjects starts from 1st year we don't have to study irrelevant subject of different branches. Teachers are quite good at teaching except for some of them.

Placements are quite good compared to other colleges in MP the average pakage for the year 2024 is 5.11 lpa and heighest pakage is 11 lpa which is quite good because placements are on going. The highest pakage of last year was 20 lpa. The environment of college is more about GATE then getting placed. So student prepare accordingly.

My fees is 4,15,520 rs for 4 years in which 125000 something for 1st year and arround 96-98 k for next three years each. Students are eligible for government scholarship for different categories. Account section is helpful and they are very cooperative.

My experience with college life is quite good. MITS has more than 60 clubs which works in their specific domain. College is quite aware to socialize students. Clubs and defferent department organize different seminar time to time and events happens for so that students can learn something new by working in there club for respective domain. Clubs forces students to work.

The first reason for choosing this college is it is near my home town, second reason is in MP, there are 3-4 colleges are good other than iit Indore nit bhopal and iitm gwalior. MITS Gwalior is one of them In my region MITS is the only government-aided college that has a good reputation. I haven't applied to other colleges. The admission process of MITS is conducted by the education ministry of MP through MPDTE counseling in which college alloted according to your jee rank there are 95% of seats are reserved for home state students rest are open for All India.

Faculty is very supportive and well qualified in there respective field. Suppose the student is from another department and goes to the faculty of another then the faculty of that department do not hesitate in helping the student. The exam system is like we have 2 mid semester exams and end semester exam if student is absent in one of the mid semester exam he can give 3rd mid semester exam only if he missed one of them. The marking system of college is very good 20 marks are from the mid semester 20 marks of quiz and assignment 10 marks of proficiency test that happens before end semester exam and 50 marks of end semester exam. Total sum is 100 marks and practicals are different 60 marks for written 20 marks for lab experiments 20 marks for experiment exam and 10 marks for the mini project then the total is 100. This was the marking system
