The Great Gatsby

The course curriculum is based on the industry standards. I chose this course beacuse of the specializtion the college offers in the fifth semsester. Rather tha teaching all the basics of different aspects they can improve by focusoing on only one subject from the very beginning. Exams happen 3 times in one semester. 2 msts and 1 end semester exam.

To be honest there is no such thing called as placement in our very department. If one has a good portfolio the teacher/ mentors are very curious to land the a job. Around 40 percent of the students immediately join companies after the colege is over. After the completion the degree I may become a freelancer or go for higher studies abroad.

The semster fee in our department for the course of bsc animation and gaming is 71000 rupees but including the exmination fee the course fee comes to the total of 73500 rupees. The scholarship is available to all the students and the name of the scholarship test is CUCET. For students coming from backward communities in punjab such as the sc and st residing in punjab pay little to no fees. The semester fee for the students taking admission now are paying the fees little higher than us. But for us it remains the same as we paid during our first smester.

Chandigarh university is a very happening place as there is always a event going on or it is just around. Every department has a separate library but the most beautiful of all is the newly made library in the south campus. There is no restriction for the department of other students to sit in any other library. Chandigarh university gives equal value to academics and non academics. There are many types of clubs and there are also clubs that are always performing for events.

I stayed in hostel for around 2 semesters and it was a four seater room for ehich i paid around 1 lakh rupees. The food quality is provided in the mess was really bad and that is supposedly one of the reasons of mine to opt out of the hostel. Now i am currently residing in GTB nagar that is very near to Kharar bus stand and approximately 6 kms from the university. My accomodation costs me around 4000 rupees a month but food included (everyday) and transport from flat to college the expenditure of a month is around 15000 rupees.

I chose Chandigarh University over other collegs because of the fact that it offers a specialization in the fifth semsester and it also offers good semester exchange program. I appliied in amity, sharda, manipal and nid. I got accepted in all the colleges except for nit because i couldnt pass the nid dat exam. One can seek admission by applying for cucet, it is an entrance cum scholarship exam.

The faculty members are great. It mainly consists of Teaching staff non teaching staff and cleaning staff. The faculty to student ratio is also nice as for every three students there is one faculty. My Favorite faculty members consists of Brijesh sir, Nimesh sir, and praksh sir. Two of my least favorite teachers are Shivam Kumar and Rman sharma because no matter how good they are on your face they always tend to backstab the students. The exam structure is actually quite good as there are two msts and on eendterm. The midterms are quite easy whereas the endterms are in the difficult side. The midterms are of 20m marks each.
