Good infrastructure and supportive staff
Vast range of experience and hospitality

Dislikes

Fees structure is very large, everyone can’t afford it
Attendance criteria, minimum 75% attendance is required
Semester is of 4 months only rather than 6 months

Course Curriculum Overview

My course was all based on practical as well as written work , though in civil engineering you require more of practical knowledge and also bit of written knowledge. I didn't get all the practical knowledge that I needed

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 170000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester fees was 80000 back then but now it has increased, paid a sum of 160000 per year which includes Tution fees , caution fees , lab fees and other registration. For SC ST quota fees was less than about 80% and it was same for OBC caste . There are scholarships to programs and tests provided before the admission so to get consession in the fees for eg : CUcet program , other than that there is also a sports quota given toh sportsman who have achieved something in the past at state or national level

Campus Life

With the less time frame of semester of only 4 months , teachers had the hard work to complete the syllabus in 4 months time frame thus they used to teach in fast proportions and this students also didn't get time to do other activities rather than studies

Admission

There were no entrance exam they believe in first come first serve method . Those who comes first to get admission gets the admission till all the seats are filled . There are staff in the beginning to guide you to get the requirements for the admission

Faculty present in Chandigarh university is vast and experienced, it consists of not both experienced and young minds thus helping the students in every way possible, there were lots to F teachers with PHD done in their field

If you are getting this college with scholarship, then go for it, Highly recommended.

Placement Experience:

companies start coming from 6th semester onwards, and you will be applying to various companies in your 4th year, this year only morgan stanley came to our campus, but they didn't hire anyone, obviously because the students don't know much, but the college brings really good companies

The placement of this campus is good as i have heard.Many company visit here to provide oppurtunity.Company like tcs wipro adobe nautani visit here to hire students.the highest package offeres here is 1cr which is off campus.student become eligible from 6th semester

Our college campus students are eligible for placement form third year and this year many companies visited our college like adobe, microsoft, byjus and many more and this year one student got highest package of 1 crore but company didn't mention and college tells that 70 percentage students get placed

Placement Experience:

ORIGINAL AND MOST GENUINE

Placement Experience:

Generally placement starts at the end of 6th semester. There are many companies visited and Microsoft is one of them now you can imagine. Lowest package is approximately of 2 LPA and maximum is 40 LPA. Most of the students get placed if there CGPA is above 6.5. My plans are to get a master degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

The good thing is they provide buses for transportation from the hostel to the academic blocks and the bad thing is that it does not allow us to use lifts.
