Remarks

Good place to learn, move ahead or spoil yourself, all depends on choice you make. But too expensive and much of show off.

Entrance Preview

PMT Interest and future scope made me choose the course admission was on the basis of 12th exam result. It was not much difficult rather casual interview.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was quite appropriate according to what students must know in order to go forward in research or the associated fields. However, the subjects like french, BS were give much more importance than they are required to get. The books offered for the subjects are mostly foreign authors and feed you with enough knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

I don't have much idea about institute offered internship. You can do in-house training but no stipend as such. Rest no idea about streams other than biotechnology. Most probably you have to try on your own.

Placement Experience

3.5

CS, IT placements are almost 100%. Other streams also get placed in those companies only. I don't know whether its good because streams like biotechnology do not have much paid jobs in India. But may be this distracts students from their own field. Its like your graduation is just a degree not much of knowledge concern.

College Events

4

Urooz, AIB fest etc. All departments used to have different fests. So, celebration time for students. But i heared now there is only one cultural fest for all the departments. Lucky us. Enjoyed a lot. Best and unforgettable part of bachelors. All the host nights we have enjoyed are still fresh in our memory.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive too much expensive only rich people can afford but that's not fair. But its trend there a student from middle class will feel miserable there. The dandrums, fashion, spoiled rich children have fainted the positives of university. Now its all about making money. I hope amity changes this image soon.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

None of the scholarship availed. But students with 90% above markes are given 50% waiver on fee. Thats good. and you have to maintain good academics to avail it for next academic years. That makes students continue working hard to maintain the same.

Campus Life

4

We had girls dominance in the department. But this may not be fact with other departments. Campus life is typical hip-hop type but you will find geeks, simple students. But majorly spoiled brats. Good options for extracurricular activities that may be sports, dance, music, co-ordination in fest. Overall, if the image which amity and amitians have made of being a bussiness and college of rich people, it will be the best place to study, learn and develop.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Not upto expectation as compared to the charges for rooms and double charges for whole year for 3 month AC service.. Thats too much.. No mess inside hostels. That should be provided. Its too uncomfortable to go out of hostel for every meal even on weekends. Also, fax from parents for every leave. Thats ridiculous. But somehow students themselves are responsible for this. Few does, all suffer.

Alumni/Alumna

There was not much interaction. the batch was large enough to interact. But if you approach they are quite helpful. Till date not much of alumnis have been in touch but whosoever is they were part of our group. So positive towards it.

Exam Structure

Hectic schedule for sure. Whether something constructive happens or not, you have to sit there 9 to 5 for the sake of attendance. No casualities. Moreover, marks with each 5% attendance above 75% is too much. I think this scenario is worse than school. who can study 9 to 5 non-stop. Its exhausting.

Faculty

3

Most of them are well educated, experienced and they do it sincerely. They don't just sit like govt teachers. They are bound to take lectures, upload attendance, study material. Some are themselves interested in doing work, others are forced by the system. Overall, its good if you want to reap the benefit out of it.

Campus placement is not that good. Hardly 2-3 companies come here for foodtech. But there are job opportunities for this course. It is a growing field. Outside the campus, if applied in any company, there are chances of selection based on the skills and knowledge one has related to the field
