Likes
- Campus and building of my college is very big and beautiful. Cleanliness is maintained and if there is any damage to the property it is regularly monitored and maintained.
- Faculties are co-operative, knowledgeable, helpful in many different ways. There is a mentor mentee system in the college that helps the children to grow personally and professionally.
- Since there is 75% attendance compulsion in the college, the students are making their way while doing the assignments, clinical practice as well as the pre clinical classes. Exams are conducted on regular basis so as to analyse the performance.
Dislikes
- There are some dental chairs, machines etc that do not work properly, so there is a requirement for correction.
- The quality of mess food is degrading sometimes.
- There are some fans in the library that do not work and it is very difficult to study during summers.
Course Curriculum Overview
BDS is a professional course in which you have to do clinical work based on your skills and since it a specialised course where you can even perform surgeries just after doing UG degree. It is a day-to-day interface with patients and therefore it is really helpful in making the clinician a more confident person. The exams are held in every 3 months and it helps the student in preparing for the University exams from the beginning as there are 2 internal exams a pre-university exams and then the proff exams.
Internships Opportunities
Since it is medical field there is a compulsory internship in the hospital associated with the college. There are no companies involved. It is a 1 year rotatary internship in all the departments for better learning. The stipend is 1600 per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise being paid is 2 lakhs per annum and the scholarship programme in the college is for ST, SC and OBC students.. in which the fees is 50% for them. The tuition fees is 2lakhs per annum, caution money taken was 10,000 in the starting of the course, registration fees was 5,000 in the starting of the course, admission fees was included in the fees of the 1st year, lab fees was taken 29,000 in the starting of the course for all the 4 years. The fees of the children getting scholarship is 1,00,000 lakh per annum.
Campus Life
Their is annual fest conducted in the college in the month of March and is names PERCUSSION. The availablity of the books is super easy but the books available are of really old edition. There is smart board in the classrooms for presentation of the lectures. There are different sports activities in the college on university level as well as Inter University level that gives boys and girls both equal participation.
Hostel Facilities
There are cleanliness facilities, a completely furnished room, electronical appliances are also provided including the fan, tubelight, bulbs and gyser. The meal quality is somehow degrading overall the menu is good. The registration process for hostel is directed to the students at thetime of addmission process. The locality will be somewhere near the college as it will be feasible for coming to the college.
Admission
The eligibility of the course is 12th standard passout with 60% marks, and NEET qualified with cut off marks. On the college website there is all the information related to addmissions. The exams are conducted in every 3 months and the difficulty level of the exams is high so as to train the student for proff exams. The process can be made more simple for students as well as parents.
Faculty
The faculties assignment are maximum in interest to the students as there are adequate number of faculties in the college that really helps the student to approach them. The faculties are highly qualified in their job and therefore the teaching and mentorship programme is handled quite greatly by them. Each student is assigned a particular faculty in the college that is for their mentorship which evalutes their performance on weekly basis.
