For admission to BDS, one must qualify for the NEET exam after 12th standard. The student must be a biology major, i.e., PCB. After qualifying NEET, you should go for counseling, select a college, and proceed accordingly. The cutoff marks are different. The admission process is not that difficult for OBC, SC, ST, and general.

At BDS there is a yearly system of exams, but before that you have to go through internal exams [2 internal exams and 1 pre-university exam] and attendance is mandatory. One must attend all the classes to appear for an examination. Attendance must be above 75%.

The 1 year internship is provided by the college with a stipend. The internship includes diagnosis and treatment of patients. Internship are rotators, and you learn to practice in different departments in that one year. In an internship, you will go on community visits to different places. I belong to the OB category, so I got myself enrolled in a post-matric scholarship. The college will fully assist you on how to apply and proceed. College also has a library where you can find all the books related to your course. You can apply for a library card and can issue books to study at home or in your hostel room. The e-library is also there, where you can study using the internet. I have attended several seminars and conferences. In my college, they arrange national and international level conferences. Lecture halls are fully air-conditioned.
