Course Curriculum Overview
MBBS is a challenging course which should ony be taken if you really have passion for the course. As we are dealing with life or death situation the course is tructurednin such a way that it prepares you for that so only who have passion for medicine should take this course.
Internships Opportunities
In MBBS course there is a mandatory 12 month internship with stipend where you basically work as a doctor in the hospital. In this internship period you are moulded to face real time problems and scenarios
Fees and Financial Aid
MOSC comes under private medical college of kuhs university. Fee for each year is fixed by fee regulatory authority of kerala which usually has a 5 percent increment for every fresher batch. Currently basic fee for 22 batch is 696000 yearly and also a special fee every year. There are scholarship for some minority communities(oec) oterwise there are no specific scholarships. During internship there is a stipend per month. Intership is for a year in which you rotate in various departments.
Campus Life
Overall experience is good compated to other private college as there are restrictions in movement. There is an annual arts festival usually at the month of may and june where students of all batches divided into 3 teams and compete in various competions to lift the overall cup. Other than those months the number of programmes are less compared to govt colleges
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is provided. There is provision of single,double or triple room with different fee structure. We have a students mess which operates from 7 AM to 8 30 PM with monthly fees of 4000 rupees
Admission
Admission is by neet exam score and it is conducted by CEE Kerala. Based on the Kerala rank you get alloted according to your preference. Reservation benefits can be availed by submitting the necessary certificate from your village office to the CEE site while registering in it.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is excellent in this campus as there is adequate number of faculties in each department although there are faculties sometimes leaving for better opportunities in govt sector and the empty post are filled up quickly. Credential of faculties are top notch as they are best doctors who have taken their pg from esteemed colleges. As the faculties are also busy with their clinical duties they are approachable only in designated times
