Best Architecture school

Overall very good college, with great faculty and good management

It is the best architecture college in Karnataka and it is among top 15 architecture colleges in India. It is the only college which offers ( Masters in Architecture) Urban Design Specilization in Bangalore. College is affiliated to the VTU, Belgaum.

Curriculum was very much relevant as prescribed by Vishweshraiya Technological University VTU, Belgaum. We had theory subjects along with a design studio. And 2 months of internship after 2 semesters which was during the vacations after 2nd semester.

No! College doesn’t provide internship. But the college does recommend you for internships. Campus selection also happens by companies like Bosch and other architectural associations

Okey, In architecture there are not many campus selections. Placements and job opportunities are plenty once you pass out from college. College doesn’t help us with placements and job opportunities. We have to seek job by ourselves after college. Think

R V school of architecture conducts a very huge Architectural festival and that is open for all the students of architecture form all the colleges and it has seminars and talks by professionals and all other fun events. Other than that college students celebrate all the festivals like holi, ganapati festival, diwali, Christmas and events like farewell, freshers day.

College fees is feasible. I paid about 50,000 per year for the college fees and hostel fees is slightly on a higher side it is about 1 lakh 10 thousand per year. More than the college fees, in architecture we have to spend on print outs, stationary and site visits.

Scholarships were given to toppers by the college. And sportsmen were also given scholarships. Then

Campus life is fun. Studios are open till late night if anyone wanted to work. Architectural debates, quiz, trips, seminars, site visits were all conducted. Every Saturday Architectural movies used to be telecasted by college club in college for reasonable amount.

Hostel facilities are good. Since the hostel is in a very close proximity to college, it saves a lot of time and energy. The facilities are worth the fees they take for hostel. The mess food is good too. No complaints. I would be rating the hostel and food 4 out of 5

Alumni meet happens every year during the Architectural fest and it is always good to interact with the seniors. You always learn more from your seniors

Exam structure was semester wise. And we have 4 semesters. Every semester has 3-4 theory subject exams and 1 design studio viva-voce. Theory subjects were for 100 marks whereas design studio was for 250 marks. Exam question paper was set by VTU, Belgaum and

After the PGCET results were out, i was supposed to submit all my original documents ( 10th marks card, PUC Marks card, B.Arch degree certificate) along with DD of 65,000 and had to fill out a form. That’s all for the admission procedure. It was simple.

The faculty are very well equipped and are very much passionate about the subject. All the faculty there are very well qualified and very much interested in teaching their particular subjects. I would give 5 on 5 for all the faculty at RV school of architecture
