All about KIT's college of Engineering Kolhapur

I'm currently a mechanical third year undergraduate. And the syllabus is pretty good. Concepts are based on real life scenarios and more focuses on practical examples. Difficulty level can be said moderate to hard depending upon the subject and complexity of concepts

After 5th semester students are eligible for compus placements. Companies start recruiting students in the month of November and it takes place throughout the year. Highest package offered in kit was 41 LPA By Adobe and lowest package is as much as 2 LPA. Average package here is 6 LPA

We total have to pay 92,000/- per year for general category. For ews and ebc it is half the general fees. For sc/st or students through reservation it is as low as 10,000/- approx. Its not mandatory to pay full fees in one take. You can pay fees in installments too. Various scholarships can are offered to students. College also provides "earn and learn" scheme in which students are offered part time jobs at college for prettty good amount of money and very less hours that too after college.

Events in KIT are held mostly in the month of march. Altogether events called "Meraki" in which first various competitions are there for students in college and also students from other colleges can take part too. Then there are exhibitions, fun games,etc. Days are celebrated such as bollywood day,twins day, traditional day. Main event meraki takes place in 3 days with 3 different events, first is traditional day and inter departmental dance competition, second is DJ night and on third day concert takes place either dance or music. Overall it is fun for around 10 days and enthusiasm between students can be clearly seen. Sport competition are taken place before or after meraki. College also has many communities and clubs such as Rotaract club, Baja club for go-kart competition and other various clubs which organise various events throughout the year.

Most of the senior faculty members are PhD holders and very excellent at teaching their respective subjects. Junior faculty is also nice. They provide study materials time to time on online platform or through WhatsApp groups. Every faculty has their own way of teaching. Some are more interactive some are not but they ensure students are getting clarity of concept.
