Remarks

Extremely no. I was never disrecpected while being a part of this institution and never do want to disrespect the same.

Entrance Preview

This institution had an awesome infrastructure and had a lot of good faculties from renowned universities , plus the mode of communication was more of English and not just Oriya. I went to MITM as per my list and got to visit the campus only to be greeted in Oriya and professors were not fluent with English , where as hi-tech was.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Four years , 58 theory papers and viva voice as well as projects , labs . Working and taking part in coding scripts etc. Curriculum was not just studies , it included indulges in visiting Industries as well as things that might help us in future to build up prospects.

Internships Opportunities

No , they help you decide of where to join and how to join but don't give you internship at their own companies which have mining as an industrial sector. Hopefully the only that I know of.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements are good , but salary packages are quite below the market rate as they take less students. Our placement cells had connections with Infosys , Wipro , BPL , Asianet. IIC TECHNOLOGIES took the highest placement my year. Out of which I think many still work there.

College Events

5

National Technology Day , Engineers Day , Independence Day , Republic Day , Public Holidays , Robotics and Science Invention Days . Fewer days we did make our own holidays to make our institution renowned as we had good teachers and highly educated ones from every corner of the industry.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible for merit students. 35000 per semester without hostel fees and eatery . Menu is set by the student union and they are pretty happy to keep us as a part of them because they were like a family to us. Our guardians couldn't possibly be so careful with us being so far. If some kind of help was needed even monetary they did provide sometime to cope up with it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes , student loans for locals and backward students . It would help them and no problem with payment as college offers the deals to the students.

Campus Life

4

I believe girls and boys are of equal strength in my university , we were 36 boys and 22 girls. So yeah seats are filled up pretty fast no doubt. It has got that charismatic environment. The ambiance to study would always be there for the silent and serene place.

Hostel Facilities

4

Lodging is good enough not bad at all , clean like a hotel and food is also good . Better might be now . Capacity to hold 400 in students of the same semester. Now upgrading so don't know exactly. But has got go facilities. Has gyms , proper walking and jogging spaces to keep oneself healthy.

Alumni/Alumna

No. I happen to detached for more than a year but yeah we do talk to each other , to share our experiences but am not that social.

Exam Structure

Four years , 8 semesters , 2 sets of internals ( every two weeks ) per semester. Last semester a major project to fulfill the degree as an engineer. Hell lot easier than just writing here. Labs were important as I had ECE , but they had got system to make everyone ready for jobs and not just put knowledge inside.

Admission

I went for All India Joint Entrance Examination which gave me a direct opportunity for getting colleges . This was one of them. So I choose this. This institution had a vast space for students to interact and work out with themselves about to make your future in the field.

Faculty

5

I went to see the brochure about faculties and all were PhD,s on desired fields . Plus my field had a person or faculty who worked for reputed companies like TELCO , BHEL. He was from Utkal and studied at a foreign University for higher degree. Our HOD Nihar Panda Sir is the best.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.
