Remarks
Well. it was a wonderful experience in my life to studying law. Though I am only 44 I am thinking myself to go back to the court of law and practice, which is always possible. So I love the atmosphere and all the other stuff in my college.
Entrance Preview
I wanted to study law only in Chennai law college. Even though the previous I got selected in Madurai college, I wrote again and then got selected in Chennai college. One of the famous law colleges in the world. It is attached to Madras high court. The ambience looks so great next to the Legislative assembly, a high court complex and in the Paris corner of Chennai and very to close to Chennai Port.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well, it is really good. They had great professors, educated personnel. Good library, attendance system, Study material, next to the court. We had Moot Court, Viva process and good stuff taught all the time. Professionally maintained classes, professor, noble quote, interactive session.
Internships Opportunities
no. I am not sure as I was a day scholar. I don't believe there was a stipend. But basically, outsiders get scholarship and hostel facility.
Placement Experience
This is the professional course. So you have to practice. There are many law offices around the college and you can join any of your senior counsels as you wish. Plenty of job opportunities were there and definitely, it is good to study law among all the other professional courses.
College Events
I am not sure, whether the events were good. We had some golden moments to cherish. the final farewell, cultural no I guess as this is professional college. But we will have some kind of events happening within the students and sometimes with staff, professors etc. But it was okay.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is feasible during my time. It is not so costly as you think. It is comparatively average and everyone can afford the fee of law during my days. Even if you don't you can get scholaRSHIP and study law. There were many ppl, who were sponsoring students education those days as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. Those days no need to have a loan facility. The scholarship was provided by the government to encourage ppl to study law.
Campus Life
Well, since it is the law we don't have the labs. But we had other extracurricular activities such as visiting courts, seeing it live etc. Which was good in those days. Sports, competitions were there according to our curriculum. Debates were also there considering our subject is law. no Robotics.
Hostel Facilities
I am not a hosteler. however, I was told it was good with food and all the stuff. I had friends who were not complaining about the foods those days. it is good to have food instead of nothing. Those days were really good and the food is also great is what I believe.
Alumni/Alumna
well no. I have no contacts with my alumni or network as I don't practice law and I completely came off to a different field which is CALL CENTERS.
Exam Structure
Yearly 8 exams by day by day. There are no study leaves. There were mood courts. Practical sessions viva, complete attendance. You have to pass without arrears. then only you can enrol in the bar council of Chennai. Exams were held during April /may so that it will be good to close the academic year.
Admission
You have to get a pass in the entrance exam conducted by the Law college. Then pay fees and join the college. Here the caste plays very vitally. Whether you belong to FC, BC, MBC, SC, ST all are quota based. So it is a must that you apply with your community certificate though.
Faculty
Had qualified professional in the classes. The sessions are more interactive. They just don't read. Quote examples, cases, the reference given. The classes are interactive and good subject, oriented faculty. The had an enormous amount of teaching experience with good communication and presenting skill sets.
