Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is vast and expansive ranging from history, to theories, to software useage and practical classes. You get many projects to work on in a semester, and also semester end projects. The course could benefit from improvements by keeping upto date with new changes in the industry. There are 2-3 small tests and 2 main exams in any given semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees remained around 90k to 1L during my studies. You have to pay fees before the start of each semester, on its online portal. Complete cost amounting to around 6 lakhs. I dont know about scholarships or financial aids available for students

Campus Life

2.5

Seminars are held 2-3 times in a month by different professionals of various fields. The college holds an Annual Fest every year. The college's computer lab facility is great in numbers but not on quality. Everytime either the computers are broken down, or are going through a physical or software update. Graphics dont work, keyboard are faulty, mouse has detection issues are some that I have faced. These became a problem later on when practical exams were to be held with broken down pcs. Also the college would go through power failures at the exact time you would be giving exams. My batchmates participated in some sports activities, and the college has some table tennis to play. Dont remember any student social groups, but it has CSR group.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I did not live in any hostel or rented accomadtion so i cant say anything about or on it. Since i didnt live in any hostel I also cant say about the food quality in these. However my batchmates did, but I sadly didnt ask them about their experience to write anything here.

Admission

You need to have passed 12th CBSE exams. You can find application form on its website. I think application fees were about 500, and application dates start in April - May, with late admission sometimes happening, which they announce on their website.

Faculty

3.5

The Faculty consisted of 7 people of each subject, and in our batch there were 21 students. So it was wasy to learn in a small batch. However our batch had a problem, it had a ratio of 1:20 female to male, making it a difficult experience for that student to not have peers. Even late admissions were not able to improve that ratio. The Faculty is experienced and knowldegable in their subject matter. Although, I believe that having 1 teacher for a grouped rounded-off subjects is not acceptable as each field requires a certain professional, capable of teaching a certain subject. Could improve the faculty numbers by hiring more teachers. You can easily approach and interact with The Faculty teachers during college hours. Most are friendly.

Interview Experience

2.5

If you were to apply for a BSc in Animation and Multimedia at BIT Noida, you will have to fill out a application form on their website, which I think was a Google form, maybe I also paid some entry fees. I dont know it was a long time ago. Anyway after this you would have to wait for some days for their email, to see if you qualified or not. After which there would be a written exam with drawings. IF you qualify this round, you would then have to do a face to face interview with the faculty, not a great idea for introverts, which is likely most of the people in India. Okay so in the interview they would ask you some questions to test your knowledge and awareness in the industry which you applied to course study for. They would also question your knowledge of similar degree providing colleges and their exams conducted. You could show your Portfolio here to get some extra points. Now after the interview is finished, sit back and relax while you wait for a reply on your selection status.

The placement according to our seniors are decent, not awesome. The average is around 3-3.5Lpa . Yes there are some students that are exceptional and get 10+Lpa package but you need to be 1 in a 100 thousand for that.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college are average. The maximum package was 50 lacs recently. A few companies that visit for placement are Amazon, Flipkart, MTX, Adobe, Cisco, Accenture, Airtel, etc. The average package can be 5 lacs. Amity also provides foreign exchange summer programs every year during summer break. The placement rate is high enough to 70%. My plans after graduation are to do post-graduation in animation in European countries.
