Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well the curriculum of mbbs is maintained by medical council of India which same for all the medical colleges all over India. But yes it is well designed and in order which gives us a gradual grasp of the various pathological and physiological conditions of human body and alongwith this there is also clinical classes in hospitals in which we interact with different patients take history regarding the medical condition and then the particular case is discussed and various examinations are demonstrated. There are two main exams pre University and University exams. Other than that many tests taken alongwith the syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There is a mandatory internship in mbbs of 12 months. In which you have to go in diffrent departments such as surgery, medicine, obs gynae, derma, ortho, etc for variable period of time. It offers a great deal of knowledge regarding various medical procedures , patient interaction and their medical conditions. During internship you will have to sampling, catheterisation, various medical procedures and a lot of file work.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total tution fee for 2019 batch is arround 4.5 lakh for whole mbbs, which is very low compared to private medical colleges. There are various scholarships offered for mbbs like post metric and medhavi, in postmetric eligibilty criteria is that you have to to be obc or st/st and there is acriteria for annual income, and for medhavi it is based on 12 th marks and board of exam. Increase in tution fee is not according to any policy as it is a government setup, the fee was half for students of 2018 and prior batches but it was doubled after 2018 batch in mp. There is a mandatory internship of 12 months for all mbbs students for which a stipend is also given which varies with state to state, for mp it is 13409 rs for now. After the completion of internship you will get your degree. During internship we learn many medical procedures and file work and patient interaction.

Campus Life

4

Life in medical College is full of ups and down and is quite thrilling. At times you will be enjoying your life to the full and at other time you will be studying many sleepless nights but it's quite amazing. You will find many great peoples and friends for a lifetime. In our college there is not much of festival celebration are held but yeah a annual gathering is held annually and it goes on for arround 15 to 20 days ,which are one of the best days. Though the college is situated outside the city and the city is also not well devloped so the nightlife and clubbing is not that great. One can find a lot of books and journals related to course but apart from that not much options are available. Sports and other extracurricular activities includes a badminton court and a college ground and a indoor game hall.

Admission

For mbbs I have cleared neet UG exam ,which is a competitive MCQ based exam which covers three major subjects physics, chemistry and biology. And according to the rank you will beassigned to the colleges. I got all india rank 13000 in neet UG 2019 in my second attempt and got enrolled in NSCBMCH. For application visit the official website of nta where you can get information regarding exam. The exam is yearly and is not very tough but the competition is great.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are very senior and renowned doctors in the city and has very high qualification. Most of them have done their super-specialty courses and published their papers. Faculty to student ration is like 1 :180 but most of the time the attendence is not full so it's roughly arround 1:130 or 1:140. The method of teaching varies according to teacher. There are both theory classes as well as practical classes and posting in different department according to the prof. Most of them use ppt for good understanding. And about interaction ,which is kind of very low because of there busy schedule and also there is senior junior stigma. But again the syllabus of mbbs is very vast and we have to cover it ourself mostly.

In mbbs there is internship and students get into it in final year like after completing 4.5 years of mbbs and they get stipend also. But for further studies you have to give a neet pg exam and to pursuing MD/MS you have to score a decent marks. My further plan is to clear neet pg exam and to get a medicine seat in government college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs course is a good degree in which you get to secure your lifetime and you'll get needed companioship and good reputation. Faculty number is little low comparing to the number of students. Faculties are highly qualified but their teaching methods and management is not upto mark, lot of improvements are needed. Their are little high crises of attendance. Exams are held timely and year schedule is circulated beforehand, which is positive point comparing to other college. Passing exams both theory and practical are moderate, not too difficult or easy. Good for average students.
