Entrance Preview
COMEDK and I scored 236. I had got call from KIT also, but since I had my friend here in the same company I came here. We was called here for the counciling. I was getting CIVIL branch in M.S Ramaiyah. But since I was more interested in mechanical, I joined SJCIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was Good. 1st year we have common subjects but from 2nd year onwards we have our own branch specific subjects. 4 years of study we have to do. 1st year we had two cycles and the first one was Physics cycle and the second one was chemistry cycle.
Internships Opportunities
Internship was only available for the people who was doing MBA or else any masters degree. So that they can teach and earn.
Placement Experience
We had a lot of companies companies coming in to the campus like Infosys, Tech mahindra, TCS etc. They was taking people like 30 to 40 students at a time. They was offering a good package arround 3 to 7 depends on the company and student.
College Events
Sambhrama, Hostel days. Sambhrama was the biggest function in our company and yes graduation day. Once late honorable Dr Apj Abdul kalam was the guest in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since chickballapur is near to Bangalore it was a little expensive comparitively. But it's quite Worth. 85 thousand was the curriculum fees 45 was the fees for the hostel and food. 2000/month was the general expense.
Fees and Financial Aid
No we did not had any personal facility provided by the college but they use to provide all the documents so that we can apply for the loans anywhere in the India.
Campus Life
Particularly I enjoyed it allot. I had very good friends so I never felt alone. We had allot of North Indian girls so again we got some couples also.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel quality was good. 1st year student have got a different block that they can stay away from ragging. But eating mess food was not less than a ragging.
Alumni/Alumna
I personally have very good relationship with my seniors.Still they help me in job. I'm always in touch with them.in fact I was the favorite junior of allot of my seniors.
Exam Structure
We had 3 internals. best of two was supposed to be considered and they use to make an average of it. Internal maximum mark was 25. External was of 100. Labs was having extra subject and we always chilled since it was so interesting.
Faculty
They was nice. Some strict professors also we had. I would like to name one "Ranganath". He was the placement officer.Our principal was a nice person Dr. T munikenchi Gowda.
