The curriculum of the course BSc microbiology in MCASC is certainly basic considering the curriculum of other colleges providing the same course. There is a need of improvement in the overall curriculum as it does not include research paper reading, instrumentation learning, bioinformatics, etc. The level of difficulty in examination is at a moderate level. The Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) examination is MCQ-based and generally conducted Mid-Semester. The end semester examination ese is conducted at the end of the semester and it has subjective questions as well as few MCQs.

The course is very affordable at just 32,000 per year yet the college provides scholarships for students from economically weaker sections. The scholarship is also for students who have a reservation category.

The Department of Microbiology ( MCASC ) every year MIROCOSM is conducted where competitions such as Poster making, Model making Research paper presentations, and Micro toon competitions are included. Every year Vyapar Mela is also organised to boost entrepreneurship in students.

The eligibility of the course is 12th pass and the admission is also based on the marks secured in the 12th board exam. The application form is displayed on the college website itself. Students who have reservation benefits have reserved seats based on their percentage of reservation.

Most of the faculty staff has a minimum qualification of MSc microbiology with some qualifying various competitive exams like Net, Set, Gate, etc. Many faculty members make an effort to engage with students both inside and outside the classroom. Their willingness to provide extra help and answer questions has been invaluable. The professors are highly knowledgeable in their fields. The overall faculty to students ratio would be roughly one professor for every 8-9 students.
