Course Curriculum Overview

I am in AIML, in the first year all branches have common subjects from 2nd year they study their core subjects. The subjects in our courses helps to learn new skills. The frequency of exams is that 3 internal exams takes place in each semester along with lab internals, lab externals and then sem end exams.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 248000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

In 2022 the fees was 248000, every year the fees increases by 20000 but only for new students. There are multiple scholarships by government of Karnataka for Karnataka students. As of campus employment you can work under some professors for some projects, many times there are projects from ISRO also.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Anaadyanta which is conducted about the month of May. There are multiple tech events also organised by Xfactor club, ECell(Enigma) Club, GDSC club. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. Sports events for basketball, football, kabaddi, kho kho, etc. There are multiple clubs available in the college like GDSC, Enigma, Art Club, XFactor Club,etc. they actually lets you enjoy the events and gain some real event management skills alongwith leadership qualities.

Admission

The student taking admission should have a 12th passing certificate as the basic eligibility. Then for merit admission you need to write Comedk exams for non Karnataka students and kcet for Karnataka students.

Faculty

1:10 will be the faculty to student ratio. There are enough teachers in every department and many of the faculties are PhD holders. Most of the faculties are good in teaching and explaining the topics. Here you can approach the faculties whenever needed.

College : Consider it an opportunity

Placement Experience:

Placements are around 90 percent in the Computer Science course with average package of 600000 and highest package of 5100000 till date. A great number of companies visit the college for hiring making it a great opportunity to the students to showcase their capabilities to the recruiters. My plans are to pursue civil services and serve the country as soon as I complete my degree.

Form 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like TCS, Phonepe, Paytm, Biju's, Amazon and many startup companies visit and recruit plenty no. For students for our college. 80% of the students get placed. For cse branch, about 95% of students get placed. The highest package offered in 2021 was 27 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

From 7 semesters students are eligible to attend the placement and on our campus, we have fewer placement opportunities compared to other colleges. need to improve the placement program in our college in most of the companies coming top BPO and some of the students got selected to the good companies also but in our time replacement was not I'll expect. The highest package and average package of components and I really don't know about that and the percentage of students getting placements maybe around 10 to 15% and I didn't select in placement after the completion of my degree. I joined some courses after so many months I got the job.

Nice college being autonomous, good hostel and mess facilities

The admission process was fairly simple. Our college takes admission through COMEDK, KCET, and management. I got through COMEDK. My rank was pretty good in the 3000s but I oped for NMIT because it is an autonomous College that gives us many benefits as the college can decide pretty much everything on its own. We got into counseling and selected the college. After that, we had to pay a minimum fee that is fixed at counseling time. Then we visited the college. The admission department was very friendly and everything went smoothly. They guided us at every step. You can get CSE in NMIT even around 6k rank. CSE is good here. Most of the teachers are cooperative. They keep updating their syllabus from time to time. It's a good environment overall....Read More

Nmit is among the top ten best colleges in Bangalore. Here, students are from various backgrounds and cultures, almost from all corners of India and outside. The quality of infrastructure and faculty has been upto the mark and i have seen it grow much more just in the past 1 year. Placements have been quite decent for all courses. The clubs and fests are totally engaging. Also, hostels and mess are quite good compared to other colleges at this cost.
