Do not have night canteen so it's quite difficult for late night cravings

Course Curriculum Overview

Quite good..academics run on time..Exam happens during the semester..we have 4 exams. 2quiz 1 mid sem and 1 end sem..quiz of 10 marks each mid sem of 25 marks,end sem of 50 marks and teacher assessment of 5 marks

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 1400000 per year

Placement Experience

Campus placement is decent in lower branches but quite impressive in higher branches..like in higher branches like Cse or ece we have avg around 16 to 18 lakh ann in lower it's around 9 to 10 lakh which is quite good

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is too high..we have 2 banks in the campus. One is SBI which provides the student loan easily..total tuition fees is around 14lakhs and if we add all the expenses like hostel fees,mess fees,etc then it will come around 18lakhs for 4 year Btech

Campus Life

We have 2 fest one is the cultural fest known as bitotsav and the other one is technical fest which pantheon..we have a good library..also we have a good facilities for sports..we have badminton court basketball court football ground cricket ground

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is quite good.hostel fees is around 40 to 50k per year..mess fees is around 40 to 55k per year.food is good..not like homemade but good enough to eat..mess menu is decided by the students

Admission

For taking admission in BIT mesra you need to appear in JEE exam and then through JoSAA and Csab counselling you will get a seat.there is all india and state quota.Also there is ews obc sc st reservation

Faculty

We have highly qualified faculties.Most of them are Phd holders.They are quite supportive and helpful.They are ready to help if you have any doubt in academics..Also they provide you with there number so that you can contact them if required

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
