Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have done my bachelor's in commerce, so to boost my skills in the corporate world I choose to do an MBA in Marketing and HR. Chandigarh University offers a dual specialization program in which we can choose two specializations. I have chosen Marketing and HR as my vision and mission is aligned with these specializations. In the first year they give exposure to all the subjects so that every student has a clear view of what the different specializations offer. They give you so much quality knowledge which helps you to enhance your skills. They also offer communication enhancement classes which improve our communication skills and build confidence in us. In the second yers we have to choose the specialization I which we further want to continue. There are many options like finance, marketing, HR, and International Business. They usually covers the whole syllabus in 3 to 4 months and then after that exams were conducted. The pattern of exams was quite simple we have 2 MST and 1 End Sem.

Placement Experience

3

Talking about the placements they offer majorly in Marketing and HR. That doesn't mean other specializations are not good but as compared to Marketing and HR they have fewer campus placement opportunities. The average package is around 3.5 LPA and the highest offered is 32 LPA. The highest package that students secure was 13 lpa offered by Federal Bank. Other than this some companies also offers around 7 LPA like Burger Pints and Asian Paints.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee was not too much as compared with the other universities who are offering the same courses. Additionally, Chandigarh University has an exam called CUET which helps students get scholarships up to 100%. They conduct online exams for scholarships. The fee for the 2021-2023 session is about 110000 per semester but if you score good marks in CUET the scholarship amount gets deducted from the fee. To continue the scholarship you have to maintain your CGPA above 7.

Campus Life

4

Chandigarh University offers a very good environment. It has beautiful lush green trees, cafes, Blocks, and many more. Every weekend is like a festival there, Punjabi singers come here to perform, and also Bollywood stars come here to promote their movies. Chandigarh University also helps students by giving them opportunities to showcase their talent on the big stage. Whether it is sports field singing or dancing Chandigarh University always supports its students.

Admission

The admission process is quite simple you have to register for the exam first if you clear the exam you will get a scholarship. After that you were contacted by the university for further documentation which are to be uploaded on the portal only. If you want to submit them physically you also can do that and also take a tour of the campus.

Faculty

4

All the faculty members are well equipped with the knowledge. They have excellent knowledge and experience in their relevant specialization. They try their best to deliver their knowledge to students. To aid this university provide projectors in the class to provide visual presentations which helps to understand things easily. There are also some cons like there is no AC in the classrooms, strength of each class is 90 to 100. In summer it becomes very humid and suffocating. Talking about the placements, They offer good opportunities but the compensation they offer is not good. The amount we pay to get this degree is much more than the package we are getting. So the ROI is not that good. If you opt for Marketing and HR then you have an edge over other specializations.

Interview Experience

3.5

Yes , there is a written test to take the admission. CUCET is an entrance cum scholarship exam conducted by the University. This test checks your Reasoning, Quant, Aptitude, English, and General knowledge. Like other big exams CAT, ZAT, MAT, CUCET also have the same syllabus but it is quite easy to score good marks in it.
