What Students Say
Likes
- I liked that the college has got immense recognition in a very small period of time, it is recognised to be one of the best engineering colleges in greatter noida and also ranked best aomngst colleges in Uttar Pradesh
- There are many activities and clubs which are pretty active. I myself was a part of Music society, i served as the coordinator there for an year.
- Faculty here is highly talented, they focus on academics way more than any other private institution.
Dislikes
- There's a little or no industrial approach that they follow, i feel more indsutrial visits should be planned for a better exposure of knowledge and field work to students.
- According to the number of students, the campus feels a little smaller. I feel there is a need to increase the campus so that a larger number of people can accommodate well.
- The avg placement is less as compared to the recognition of the institute. I feel more conpanies should be a part of the drive for the betterment of the student.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum here in NIET is a amalgamation of variety of subjects and not just your own subject. In first year, we were taught varied subjects starting from Physics to Electrical and what not. The curriculum definitely prepared you for all the competitive exams you've to face after your bachelors. I feel more industrial, lab visits should be planned to give a better idea of the field work to the students. The frequency of exams is good, we have three sessional exams held every month and then we have our finals of 100 marks.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester onwards students become eligible to apply for the campus placements. Various drives are also held for the same. Cognizant, accenture, infosys, and various other companies have set their foot. There's a guaranteed 100% placement by the institution. Highest package received is by the company MICROSOFT i.e 54 lpa (Btech CSE) student and lowest is somewhat around 2lpa There's a 100% placements guaranteed by the institution. My planes are to pursue higher studies after getting My gate cleared.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees doesn't increase every year, increasing tution fees is not a fixed policy. They may or may not increase it. The complete cost of Btech Biotechnology, the field I am pursuing is approximately 5.01 lakhs, including eveything except hostel facilities. Scholarships are provided by the govt release every year, people whose financial condtions are not upto the mark are allowed to fill the form. The amount of Scholarship is nearly 50k. Campus employments start from 4th year, right now I have just completed 2nd year so can't answer this question.
Campus Life
Sanskriti is a cultural fest held every year, we also have an annual Tech and Sports fest around January. Almost all books recommended for the course can be easily found in the library. Smart classes are being provided in every class. The sports facilities are way too good. Every year we organise a Sports fest to facilitate sportsmanship within students. Yes, alot of clubs and societies are being run by students. I was also a part of Music society where i looked forward to manage their social media account and i was also one of the coordinators.
Hostel Facilities
The room is furnished, provided with a bed, table, shelf and a cupboard. There are both attached and common washrooms availed as per choice. The meal quality to good here in our mess, the menu is changed every month to not inbuild monotonous routine within students Registration process for the college hostel start as soon as your apply for the course, the charges are 1 lakh for a room(three seater), there are no two seater rooms or one seater rooms available. The price is pretty affordable as per the other hostels outside. Alpha1,2 are the most rented because of their distance from the campus.
Admission
Eligibilty of the course was 60% or more in 12th standard or a good score in JEE Mains. You can easily find the application forms, curriculum and the fees at www.niet.co.in. There are no reservation benefits given by the college. The exams are held every month, thrice and then at last is our final exams of 100 marks. The difficulty of the exams is moderate. Class notes and lectures would suffice. I suggest the percentage criteria should increase, 70% or more should be allowed to sit for the process.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is rich in Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology. The major focus of the instititute is a better result and a prime focus is on the academic betterment. Teachers here are highly qualified for a private institution. Most of them are Gate qualified. Hence, delivery of a profoud knowledge is being done without fail by the teachers.
