KUFOS outline review

The course, BFSc, has many subjects here. It means that all the virtues are being covered and touched. So it means that students have to learn various things. So after finishing the course, they have a number of abilities. Different departments interest different types of students.

Internship happens in the form of RFWE. In that, students have to work in farms, institutes, hatcheries, etc in BFSc. For Btech and Masters students, there are companies in Kochi who accept them easily. Projects are there. Another program called Experiential Learning Program is is there for practical understanding of business.

Placement cell is there in college. They will contact the willing students to keep them updated about the opportunities. They are prompt and cooperative. Companies such as Fresh to Home, Amalgam, CP Aqua, IDBI bank, Captain Fresh, etc have came. Students get eligible from the last year itself.

Fee structure is about 11 thousands per semester, thus about 22 thousands per year. It is a 4 year course. Students get scholarship for their performance in semesters also. E-grants is there. For students coming through common ICAR exam, there is ICAR scholarship.

Social life is fulfilling. People are interactive and they come from all the areas. Library is very nice in accordance to fisheries sector. The labs of various department have the required things for exposure. Sports day, half yearly magazine is there. Various events such as Arts day, Union Day, Batch day, freshers, various farewells, alumni meets, Independance day parade, Hostel day are there every year among many others. NSS, NCC, Nature club, is there. Students Union is run by students. Elections happen yearly.

Hostel facilities are there. Both men's and ladies hostel are in the campus. Mess is there. Both hostels are affordable. Mess dues are not very high. All the basic facilities are there. For recreation, there is facility. Study room is also there. If anyone wants to go for another accomodation, private hostel are also nearby.

Admission is done through KEAM for common Kerala students. For other state students, ICAR conducts all India-level exams. On this basis, people are sent there. Reservations for OBC, SC, ST, COF, and Lakshwadeep students is there. The admission process requires the usual IDs and info of students. It was not a difficult process.

One batch has 80 students. Faculty is good here. They can be said to be of highest quality in the sector. They have great connections within the fisheries fraternity. Thus it is easy to say that they can help students well. They all are very reachable. They can be approached easily by students.
