Remarks :

The college needs to do better in the placement department. While it might get few employment but most of the students have looked for the job themselves. The institute must play a part in giving employment opportunity to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course aims at developing skills in manpower so that they can oversee operation of vessels going into the ocean, also contribute towards infrastructural establishments for bettering the fish industry and training people for fishermen training centers.

Placement Experience :

The college has its own placement cell that ensures to take care of the needful that is to be done in order to get the students placed in various institutes. The college has its name established and therefore attracts various companies.

The fee for this course can be as such expensive. It charges differently for different semester with Rs 42000 for the first semester and Rs 13000 for the second semester. It charges Rs. 35000 for the 3rd and 13000 for the 4th semester. For the last two years Rs 13000 and Rs. 35000 are charged for odd and even semester respectively.

Since the institute aims at training students for their better future, it only celebrates few events such as sports day and other important occassions such as hindi day, independence day, republic day, etc,.

Admission takes place in college via the all India entrance examination that is conducted by CIFNET. Before that, student should've qualified his 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized school or institute.

Admission:

I applied for the ICAR AIEEA UG exam and sat for the written test. After qualifying the ICAR AIEEA I applied to the university. I was looking to pursue a bachelor's level program in the domain of fisheries and since this university was a specialised one in the respective field I opted for it. After grant of admission I was called for document verification and procedural formalities to complete the admission.

Placement Experience:

In terms of placement one can explore opportunities in government and private sector. Most of my seniors have got into the research and development in relation to the domain. The placement cell provides support however mostly it's on our. Internship opportunities are provide however one is free to get the internship done on their own.
