Remarks; The college has good environment. Good faculties.caring senior students, with good support from the central government on various items.it has an good library with lots of useful books.good hostel facility.Also has an vessel to make as skilled mariners

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course generally deals with Fisheries related subjects and with a wide emphasis on nautical science since it is an dual degree program.Number of practical classes were conducted to increase our practical knowledge.The exams consist of 2 internal exams in one semester with the semester exam conducted at last.The internal exams are conducted in a planned manner.Exams and labs are often frequent.

Placement Experience :

Placements are generally from shipping based companies.students who passout from here are in a good job.The course is outlined for job opportunities.other trainees in the diploma course get 1500 monthly.

College Events :

All major festivals are celebrated by our college.These mainly include Holi, pongal, onam, christmas.other technical fests are also conducted.one all India cultural fest is conducted to make students culturally strong.sports meet is also conducted to strengthen the sportsmanship.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

First sem; Tuition fee=13000/- Caution deposit=5000/- University fees=1365/- Other fees=19450/- Vessel mess deposit=1500/- Second sem; Tuition fee=13000/- Semester exam fees=125/subject Total=approx 80000 Feasible fee structure

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Have applied for e-grantz given by the government of Kerala.it is an scholarship given by the Kerala state government for minority students.The money is credited to the bank account.college directly is paid with the amount.

Campus Life :

Sports and extracurricular activities are provided for trainees to excel in every part of life.ground and sports equipments are provided by the college.physical education classes are arranged by 0600hrs.badmimton, football and volleyball are the generally palyed games

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel is not so good but ok I my hostel there are 4 members and attched bathroom and we have balcony for reading pupose our mess is big there we can eat and chitchat for sometime and here all group people will be present so we can share our thoughts to develop a projects and we will having fun by going to tours etc

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Senior students are generally caring and helpful.They encourage us to be part of every activities.They are highly performing students in their academic as well as sports activities.They are the ones who bought as out of our shells.

Admission :

Through eamcet rank I got my college I got good eamcet rank I prepared vry much for my entrance and started hardworking to get cse branch and finally choosen a womens college for women empowerment And bascially I love women college

Faculty :

They are highly skilled employees of the central government.They are really into their subject and have vast knowledge about it.Teachers often give their own notes, Rather than referring other books.Faithful and frequent to their work.They never miss a class.we also have an experienced teacher for physical education, he is highly trained, hard-working and makes workout on a daily basis.I am really thankful to be part of this college

LIFE AT KUFOS as a Fisheries Graduate

Placement Experience:

In the last semester placement programs can be utilized by the students. So many processing companies are looking for students from Kufos, The average salary package is about 4 lakhs. About 80%of the students got placement. I am looking for further studies.

Specialised University for education in the domain of fisheries

Admission:

I applied for the ICAR AIEEA UG exam and sat for the written test. After qualifying the ICAR AIEEA I applied to the university. I was looking to pursue a bachelor's level program in the domain of fisheries and since this university was a specialised one in the respective field I opted for it. After grant of admission I was called for document verification and procedural formalities to complete the admission.

Placement Experience:

In terms of placement one can explore opportunities in government and private sector. Most of my seniors have got into the research and development in relation to the domain. The placement cell provides support however mostly it's on our. Internship opportunities are provide however one is free to get the internship done on their own.
